Broke my left ankle

This past friday while walking to where I park my tractor trailer(was coming back to work after being off for 5 days) I slipped on a patch of ice Yes it hurt like hell Even screamed like a little girl Fortunatley some nice gentleman saw me laying on the ground Thankfully was only laying there a few minutes Went into surgery yesterday They puy two screws on the outside part of my left ankle The inside part of it had torn ligaments
What blows is that workmans comp won't pay anything However I do have short term disability that will pay some money Be off work 6-8 weeks🙁 Oh well it's only my second broken bone in my life I'm 37 Broke my right little toe about 15 1/2 years ago Didn't feel that one break Of courdse I was drunk at the time
At least I'll have plenty of time to work on my tank models

gen.zod I am so sorry to hear about that, glad that someone was around to help you. Glad you made it out of surgery fine too! I know this doesn't help, but it could have been worse! You could have broken your hip!🙁 My Mama recently broke her hip and it takes a long time to recover from that!

sorry to hear it Gen... I'm thinking of getting back into building models. Which ones are you working on at the moment? I've got a couple of armour kits, but no tracks... too hard to screw around with. I've also got a couple of 1/16th figure models. General Rommel, a Luftewaffe ace and a german tank commander. Now lets talk irony here We had 4 or 5 inches of snow on Christmas day 10:30 that night me,my stepdad and 2 of my nieces went toboganing for an hour or so I caught air 4 times didn't get hurt But in the daylite I do General Zod

Neat Biggles The only 1/16 figure I got is the Sgt Steiner one from Dragon Models Ltd As far as armor right now I'm doing the DML JS2 Stalin tank in a winter camo Those individual track links are a lot of fun Give www.armorama.com a try it's military and even some sci-fi models of all type I go by generalzod there It's a very friendly site If you don't want to do individual track links try Tamiya or Academy They have the single rubber band style tracks Easier to put together I can be reached at [email protected] if you need help or have any questions
