And said EXACTLY as much when the scandal first appeared here. IMHO, Kobe is an ass and I know people who know him. However, this c-word, just like Paula Jones, Desiree Washington, etc. is nothing but a money grubbing, opportunistic slut.
She's also an idiot, becuase if her supposed "advisors" knew jack shit about law, they'd know she's provided MUCH more protection in a criminal case w/regards to protection against her background, etc. than in a civil case. I hope Kobe files charges against her (not that she'll ever have a future after this, oh boo hoo HOO!) She's dropped the criminal charges because she's a friggin coward and she diminishes the credibility of REAL rape victims everywhere. There isn't a jury on the planet (with a brain) that would say, "OK, your sorry ass can come forward for MONEY, but not for the sake of justice?" Spare me. I hope she ends up committing suicide (sorry) I seem to find the universe exacts its own revenge against those who deserve it.

LOl Kis (Ya, I know, sorry for the rant) I narrowly escaped a stranger rape at gunpoint myself once (just got lucky, really, another story for another time.) My best friend was raped as a teenager 3 times (one gave her herpes!) But I regularly have to deal with patients admitted thru trauma as rape victims~sometimes they're men! (generally prisoners) Most people only get to read about this stuff in the papers, see it on the news~I have to look into their eyes, hold their hands, call their families with the news. You could say it's a sore subject for me.

She was strangled to death at the hands of her own boyfriend. As a result of her murder and the family's tireless efforts to ruin the killer's life he now regularly sits in on major celeb crime trials and reports often to Vanity Fair magazine. He also writes fictional novels. Dunne reported after the Tyson conviction that there was a huge amount of evidence intentionally left out that might have helped Tyson. Example? Her panty liner was found in his hotel bathroom's trash can. The theory? A girl would ONLY remove it if she thought she'd be having sex. I buy it 100%~this chick KNEW waht she was getting into. You, of course can formulate your own opinion 😛

after reading the last few posts, i must say i have a lot of respect for Steph and Kis. i always did have repsect, but they grew even more in my eyes. these are two women, intelligient, responsible, fair human beings who have a mind of their own. usually in a rape case, people tend to side with the victim (understandable), but what seperates them is the fact that they see things at face value. there was no automatic assumption that the girl was telling the truth when she accused Kobe Bryant. they listened to the EVIDENCE that was there and like me, could tell this girl is a lying **********. i applaud the fact that you two (as well as others) decided to listen to the evidence presented and make your opinion from there. when this story first broke a year ago, i defended Kobe Bryant. you can see a quote from him in my signature. what happened? i was blasted and even told i condone rape. i had people tell me that they hated my guts because i believed Kobe was innocent. i always told them that if they paid attention to the evidence, anyone can see that the girl is lying. my heart goes out to the true rape victims out there and hope true rapists gets their balls cut off and force fed down their throats.
so, to those who actually paid attention to the trial, thank you. for those who decided to rip apart Kobe (and you know who you are!), learn how to pay attention before spouting off at the mouth. you have yet to state any evidence that shows Kobe being guilty.
as for Desiree Washington. here, i am surprised by Steph and Kis. most women i know thought Mike was guilty. i didnt. if you notice, Mike to this day refutes the claim. he has admitted to being a "bad guy", a "thug" and has done many terrible things in life. but he is very passionate in denying he raped her. i remember one piece of evidence that was there, but somehow Mike still got convicted. that evidence was, there was no physical damage to her. this is Mike Tyson we're talking about. he has no idea what being gentle is. so if he forced himself, this big brute of a man, on tiny Desiree Washington, there should have been a LOT of damage. my opinion is that she had sex with Mike and he refused to walk her out. he probably told her to get the hell out of his room, she got mad and screamed rape. then Mike had his tax attorney defend him. a tax attorney? of course Mike didnt help himself by saying he likes to have rough sex, but i still dont believe he raped her.

I got blasted for the Desiree Washington issue years ago. I said it then, and I said it now, no one is that naive in today's world. My niece was about five at the time. She added up the evidence and asked one question: "Why did she agree to go out with him at 1 in the morning and not expect him to want something from her?" It's a shame a five year old has better sense than a grown woman. Like I said, by the time he got finished with her she probably thought it was a rape!
Yes, the woman has the right to say "no" at any time during the issue. However, women and young girls are too sexually sophisticated to be as dumb as we were at their age. They're not so gullible and so easily fooled. I simply don't buy it anymore.
