Just curious as to others thoughts on bumping up old threads, like years old threads, 5, 10, 15 or more years. I have noticed this happening more frequently lately.

I think it's pretty cool if a thread is bumped up to continue a conversation or add new insights, even if the OP and/or original posters are no longer active on the forum. Same with, for example, the stories threads, stories being bumped to give praise to the author and/or introducing stories to new members who may not have seen it and haven't the time/interest in going through hundreds or thousands of old stories.

The only thing that can be irksome with this is those posts wondering why a twenty year old link to an article or video no longer works or if a story/video from 2008 is going to be getting a sequel.

I have seen some people complain when old threads are bumped, but more often than not, I think it can be a good thing. What are your thoughts?

I think the only potential, problems are in personals threads where someone is asking to meet a ler. or a lee and they don't look at the thread and see it's 10 years old then others post in the same thread assuming it's recent. I confess that's happened to me... so now I always look.

I almost bumped an old thread of mine from 2006, or 2007 under a different name. It's interesting to see similarities in how I used to post compared to now. It's also interesting to notice how members interacted many years ago compared to the way it is now.

Not in a judgemental way, but just acknowledging the difference in social dynamics as well as admiring how things used to be around TMF.

There have been many posters, and members that perhaps have moved on to busier, and different lives, but just catching a whiff of their age old wisdom is a breath of fresh air for those that have been around for a while.

I guess I for one would say thank you to the people that bump older posts for honoring the wide array of posts that have been made over the years by keeping the comments, posts, wisdom, and spirit of our aged TMF posts relevant.

Cheers to my friends that have been around for a while. There's been so many good times virtually as well as IRL because you all made this such an amazing platform of ticklers, ticklees, scalp scratchers, and friends.🍻

Cheers as well to the next generation of fetish freaks who carry on the tradition, and bring wildly new tickle tools to the party.🍻

Whether its a bump for an old post, or your own authentic new post; we should all be proud of the platform that we are on.

Many thanks to Jeff, and all of the admins and mods that keep this tickle machine moving.
Love it all!
Cheers to the TMF!🍻

The only other potential "problem" I see - and it's not a huge deal - is bumping years-old threads that offer videos for sale, as happened not too long ago.

There’s an old saying, “It’s never too late to say thank you.” I would add, “It’s never too late to recognize quality.” Sometimes I run across a story or thread I haven’t seen before that resonates. Time to bump it so others can enjoy!

I used to bump up old stories that i thought deserved renewed recognition...that's back when i first joined and stayed mostly in the story section...i'd look thru the pages until i found a title that sounded intriguing and then i would read it and comment, especially if i enjoyed it.

:iagree: I do the same, I will comment on an old story that I missed when it was first posted if I really like it. 😀
Good to see you posting here again, Isabeau! 😀
