Just curious as to others thoughts on bumping up old threads, like years old threads, 5, 10, 15 or more years. I have noticed this happening more frequently lately.
I think it's pretty cool if a thread is bumped up to continue a conversation or add new insights, even if the OP and/or original posters are no longer active on the forum. Same with, for example, the stories threads, stories being bumped to give praise to the author and/or introducing stories to new members who may not have seen it and haven't the time/interest in going through hundreds or thousands of old stories.
The only thing that can be irksome with this is those posts wondering why a twenty year old link to an article or video no longer works or if a story/video from 2008 is going to be getting a sequel.
I have seen some people complain when old threads are bumped, but more often than not, I think it can be a good thing. What are your thoughts?

I do the same, I will comment on an old story that I missed when it was first posted if I really like it.
