C.A.B. & Friends ~ Khali

[C.A.B.]

I have always been fascinated by the female artist, or more precisely, how the opposite sex perceives the world. There are profound differences, but I wont open the discussion here. Suffice it to say that I have always delighted in Khali's style and choice of design; beautiful, lithe, and dancer-like with a spirited dash of 'in your face' just to keep the viewer sober. So it was my great pleasure and anticipation to see what she would submit for her collaboration, and true to form, she did not fail to make me smile with impression. So here, with the addition of the deft, Geiger-esque strokes of depthful color and texture by the incomparable Will Georges, we have a symbiosis of wonderment.

LOL... I can see the patterns, C.A.B.... The "Other" won't let her come for a looooong loooong time. A lot of modifiers and words really get my attention here, but I am sure, you have delivered a true and solid thriller in a "great yawn of defeaning silent space" (the infinity of any vampire). It will break the solitude to unchartered levels. It's a like a threshold, you know. And the art is really intricate. Such space, palette, high lights, gradients... distinct.

A lovely story by Khali. I love how you always manage to integrate some smoldering eroticism into each tale you weave.

And once again an outstanding illustration by CAB. So many things to learn regarding posing and composition. And at the same time...omfg hawtness!

I also have to thank you for including me in this set of collabs, as it was quite an honor to work with you on this project. And I just adored both the interior/exterior conflict pulsing through this tale...not to mention how darkly erotic it got as 'The Other' pushes Tarraya further and further from perhaps what she used to be. Excellent. 😀

In my haste I slip. Such are the dangers of no free time. LMAO. CAB is so adept at changing his styles to fit the purpose of the pic that I honestly thought I was reading you and viewing him. But I was viewing you and Willy and reading him. Oh well. I guess what's important is that the art and writing were so interesting that I didn't pay attention to ownership. I paid attention to content. And if that's not a compliment...then I don't know what is. XD

No no. Not at all. You came across great. If anything I was just trying to make sure I didn't offend by missing such an obvious and embarrassing detail. I enjoyed the piece very much. And much like listening to a beautiful piece of classical music...my chick-pea sized brain might not be able to keep track of which instrument I'm listening to at any given moment...but I thoroughly enjoy the experience none the less. ;-)

I always look forward to your work, K. Whether written, drawn, or some other medium yet to be named. XD

This was one hell of an awesome (three-way) collaboration. Khali did such a wonderful job on the linear, and then to read the marvelously erotic story that C.A.B. wrote to accompany it! What a wicked treat to my twisted taste! But not just that, every new adaptation of Tarraya (the open-source character this picture/story was derived from) fills my heart with joy, and proves my decision was right to make Tarraya open and available to every creative mind out there. And this one for certain is a gorgeous and incredibly original interpretation of the given setting. It really blew my mind. Wow. Amazing stuff!! 😀
