The Power Tower is a ride where they strap a group of maniacs to a 300ft tower, then shoot them straight up in the air to the top, hang them there, and then drop them back down to the bottom. Seems to me like an overly elaborate process just to get someone to vomit, urinate, and poo all within 15 seconds.

Thats power tower red, Not green. you can see green at the end of the video, but you need to watch the whole thing to get the levity of it. In my opinion, if you can't at least go on Power Tower Red don't pay for your ticket. The line for it is, well last time I went, there wasn't one. But green is the on that tests your nerves. it is best to go on at night when everyone is leaving, the line takes all of 5 minutes and the ride gives you an amazing view of the sunset...ahhhh...then without warning you are randomly plummeted down 13 stories! Yaa-freakin-hoooo!

I always go to at least Alton Towers every year for a day trip.
Last Year made it to busch Garderns and Universal (I know the rides aren't the best) but still loved them.
That power tower looks Great
I would love to say I can come and would love to if possible but have a feeling that pond between the UK and the US might stop me.

As much as I would love to be there to see you people go loopy on the loop-de-loops, this summer will be reserved for me and my girls.
No summer traveling for me unless my little ones are with me.
But I hope you all take lots of pics and let us have a looksee at those of you on the coaster parade!

Hmmmmm.....if it is kid friendly, there may be a possibility.
I have family in OH, a aunt and uncle that have never seen my two little ones.

I was about to say the same thing as Rob, it is hard to get all the weekends away from the kids and Ohio is a big drive but I LOVE coasters, always have....you can turn me upset down, shake me whatever and I love it. I am even dying to go skydiving one of these days soon!
Maybe if it is kid friendly, my 10 year old and 6 year old can also join us...would be fun.

Attention people who love roller coasters and other insane rides:
I, Bella, being of semi-sound mind and very sound body, live in Columbus OH; that's right in between Cedar Point and King's Island, the homes of some of the BEST coasters and other rides on the Earth. Sadly, many of my friends have decided that being in our 30's and 40's means we're too old to ride the good rides anymore; I say that's a load of hooey
Therefore, I'd love to form a TMF group of Riders, we can find a weekend to do both parks, get a good group rate and crash at my place, I predict a LOT of fun
This will happen at some point in the summer of 2009, I know it's early but with so many other events and gatherings it's never too soon to start talkin' about plans 🙂 If interested post here and/or drop me a PM, thanks!
