I know it sounds a little odd, but I was just curious to know if anyone has been able to tickle themselves? I've recently noticed (well maybe a couple of months ago) that I've actually been able to tickle my own feet using my hands (no tools) lol. I found it to be rather fascinating so once again just curious.

only very lightly but it works for maybe a few seconds then i become immune to it... yes i've tried it >.>

lol well it's good to know I'm not alone that's for sure. I think it's kind of cool it's like tapping into a part of yourself that normally wouldn't be so easiy tapped (if that makes any sense) lol.

yes, my hair always tickles my neck, which is very sensitive.
my armpits can be easily self tickled with a soft stroke.
and my feet, which can only really happen if they are warm, very light strokes, and it tickles.
its weird, sometimes i can, most times i cant.

Nope, not I.........however, I'm surgical when i tickle other folks's feet 🙂. I think u can attest to that

I can get sort of the general tickle feeling, and I'll even squirm a bit, but obviously it's not the same as when other people tickle me XD

I can tickle myself in certain spots, like my stomach, when I do slow strokes. But whats wierd is normally it will just tickle a little bit. Occasionally though, maybe once in 3 months, I'll find a spot that tickles so much I really have to force myself to keep doing it. But it will go away after a few minuts. Wierd.

If I use something soft, I can get some reaction around my tummy/navel area.
But nothing major :/
And yeah, it goes away after awhile.
Oh well

*raises hand* I can tickle myself. I've done it many times before. I'm extremely ticklish. I have certain spots, however, that once I've tickled them for so long, the tickling dies out and I no longer get the urge to laugh. Places like my knees, neck, and back, and underarms however, almost never have that problem. 😀

Only sometimes. Most of the time I try and fail miserably lol. There is an art to it though, usually softer, random strokes work best. As the others have said, the feeling disappears quickly after the initial contact though...such is life.

I had always heard that it wasn't possible. But I imagine we could trick ourselves here and there. It's all a mind game, right?

Yes, although not to the point of laughing. Just to the point where I can't stand it and have to pull my foot away!

I can also tickle my sides if I do it lightly enough!

Some people can. TMF member NJJen gave a demonstration of it at a gathering in Albany some years ago, tickling her own feet and producing laughter and twitching.

I can on only tickle myself on the roof of my mouth.

Yes, I can tickle myself in most places, but it doesn't give me the same thrill as when someone else does it.

Yes I can attest lol. Self tickling is a talent in itself I guess, some can do it and some cant lol

Yes , Feet and hands i'll get a good jolt sometimes. Every where else it's not a very intense feeling and lasts for a few moments.

I've done it by accident when I'm trying to scratch my foot or something, but it's not fun - just annoying.

Also, you know that pins and needles feeling you get when your a limb starts to wake up after having fallen asleep -- that tickles like crazy if I move it during that time. Again - annoying, not fun.

I hate that pins and needles feeling especially when it starts to wear off it hurts like hell , I remember I tried to walk it off one time while it was totally numb and I almost broke my ankle because I walked and it rolled and I fell .

Yeah, pins and needles definitely not a good feeling. That happened to me yesterday because I was sitting on my left foot for too long lol. I feel your pain.

Ooh yea, I almost forgot that I can tickle the roof of my mouth with my tongue (I get crazy tickles).

Very interesting question.

For those that can tickle themselves, what reactions do you have? Do you laugh out loud, do you have to stop because it tickles too much, do you just twitch and squeak or what?
