Can we get a subforum for AI work?

As somebody who posts AI content I'm cool with whatever you guys agree with honestly.

The big negative from not being able to post in the mainstream section or in the artwork section if we go ahead and have the AI solo area...

People aren't going to go looking for AI content because most of it is looked at as shit LOL

But I actually completely get where people are coming from.

I know some people dislike it, and I respect their point of view. But it's here to stay and I don't want to accidentally make the TMF a place that is passively hostile to that, by making it seem like something we don't respect or appreciate.
I would also say that we don't want the TMF to feel hostile to people who don't like AI and who might stop visiting because they feel that they are constantly bombarded by AI images.

It wouldn't bother me if AI images had their own sub forum, but it also doesn't bother me if stuff is all mixed together, although it is nice if the person posting the images says in the title that is is AI generated.

I understand your dilemma.

Do we worry that those posting true stories will feel marginalized from those posting fiction when they're ALL stories? No. So I don't see a problem with separation. I'm not always in the mood personally to sift through AI vs. hand-created, whether by manipulating a program directly or a pencil. I think sometimes we can make things more complicated than they have to be. Just my two cents.

Well put.

AI is the future. There are things I hate about it and things I like about it. So far I've enjoyed some of these AI art works. I do agree it should go in a different section for organizational purposes.

I don’t post much on this forum. I’m a traditional artist, but I haven’t shared any of my works here precisely because this type of art isn’t getting much attention. Each drawing requires a lot of work and knowledge behind it (if it’s done properly) and years of training. I don’t think AI is bad or inadequate, but it’s true that among so many pieces, most of them are boring and completely lack that spark that makes us feel something when we look at them.
Erotically speaking, there isn’t much to see either, and overall it’s a complete waste of time. Forty images of Marge in the same pose aren’t satisfying for me.

I think a separate section for traditional art and AI work would be more than welcome. Also, some actual feedback on posts instead of just a “Nice.” I used to draw every day, but now it’s been a year since I last did. It discourages me to see my work fall into complete oblivion, and all my recent pieces end up just filling my computer’s hard drive. I feel like right now they won’t see the light of day.

I also want to say that this used to be an altruistic community, but nowadays you see many artists who, as soon as they gain a bit of recognition, start monetizing their content in a completely selfish way. I avoid those people on the forum as well. Supporting an artist’s work through Patreon or any other platform is one thing, but it’s something entirely different to post just to funnel people into “your great gallery of repetitive, soulless art” behind a paywall.

I hope it’s clear—I’m using a translator.

Strongly agree with an AI subforum.

I'll be honest, it's gotten to the point that I have blocked people who post AI stuff outside the designated thread just so I don't have to shift through it. It's not really fair of me to do that from a "community" perspective, but many years ago I learned that my enjoyment of the internet was greatly improved by blocking a few dozen people -- no matter how arbitrary the reasoning. There are still hundreds/thousands/millions of other people to interact with... And I'm sure those I block won't miss me 😅

As a traditional/digital artist myself, I often come here looking for like-minded artists so that I can learn things and see other art in my field that I enjoy. I'm not a fan of AI art in most cases, so it can feel frustrating to come into the forum looking for more traditional art or seeing a character/concept that sounds up my alley and then seeing that it's mostly AI stuff. Aside from that, categorizing art and content is just good practice. We have a subforum here for anime art, after all, so a similar forum for AI-generated pieces feels just as valid.

Since the thread is being buried by new AI posts, I'll bump this up.
It's not a dilemma, it's respect: properly tagging contents, just like we tag */M, */F, upperbody, feet, whatever.

I'm giving this some thought - I don't know what the long term impact of this would be. Are AI people going to feel like they're being put into a "not a real artist' secondary location? Some AI is very generic and not particularly interesting, but some of it is among the most compelling tickling content I've ever seen. And I want to welcome it, encourage it, and treat it like the important part of the future of tickling media that it clearly is.

I know some people dislike it, and I respect their point of view. But it's here to stay and I don't want to accidentally make the TMF a place that is passively hostile to that, by making it seem like something we don't respect or appreciate.
I made a post about having its own category as well, I don't think many people see it as shoving it aside but as simply organizing the forum better to make it easier to choose or find what an individual might be looking for.

Ooo boy lol. Weell I will toss in my 1 vote. I would not separate AI art from the rest. I would encourage AI artists to label their threads as AI. From what I see, they are already doing this.

I believe if you don't like AI art, you can ignore the people posting it, then you won't see their threads. I could be wrong on that though. If ignore doesn't work that way, maybe it could be updated to work that way.

I think its more a case of organization cause otherwise the "artwork" sub forum is just flooded with AI content. But if we gave it its own subforum u could do all the ai videos there too not just the artwork and it would be a popular enough subforum to support. Sifting through posts on there to find non ai content is so ridiculously tedious and unnecessary with an easy fix like this. Plus not everyone posts solely AI content so you would be missing out on other stuff by just ignoring them.

At the end of the day, this is a fetish form and all of it, whether drawn, ai produced, rendered, etc. is tickle porn. Enjoy the stuff you like and scroll by the stuff you don't. It's really not that difficult.
