Can WVU win the national title this year?

I put money preseason on michigan and wv to win the national championship.

Michigan 22 - 1
WV 7-1

Things are looking good for me 🙂

btw i will sell(maybe give) weekly college football gambling advice to anyone that wants it. I usually go no worse than 7 for 10 (went 15 for 15 on new years day last year)

WV won today..looked close for a bit, but wow did they beat Syracuse..but moved down to number five grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i say they will get there to the nationals..

Michigan did not play Ohio State tonight. They played Penn State. Ohio State at the time of your post was thrashing Michigan State 38-7. Ohio State will remain #1 and run their record to 7-0.

Wolv you are so right..it was a skillful win....and wow is that quarterback fantastic or what? he should be considered also for a Heisman trophy...and did you know he turned down a baseball offer last year? a professional offer? he wanted to play college football, and WV is so very glad he chose to do that...

The road is almost paved. If Michigan beats Ohio State and WVU beats Louisville, it's almost certain that they'll meet in the title game...

o so am i...and USC lost this weekend..things are getting very interesting..i also found out that a player must be a junior or senior to win the Heisman, so that leaves Stalin out, although he is considered a candidate..too bad..

Any player in college football can win the heisman regardless of class standing (frosh, soph etc....). Adrian Peterson was a runner up as a freshman.........i think grossman was a runner up as a sophmore

You probably saw that no freshman or sophmore has ever won the award, but they are eligible. Eventhough i hate to admit it.......troy smith will win the heisman.......the lions will draft him.........and he will never amount to anything in the NFL.

sorry, but even if WVU finishes undefeated, a one-loss team will pass them in the computers. Why?? because WVU has played nobody . You do not get rewarded in the title game by playing cupcakes all year long. The computers do not like the Mountaineers

The distance between Michigan and WVU is staggering, even to the point that the loser of Michigan/Ohio State will still be so far ahead, that there will be a rematch between the two

sorry to disagree NT, but they have played for the National title before..and i believe they do have a chance..o and i would never have started this thread but for the fact i heard commentators on ESPN say that they thought WVU had a definite chance..also it's not WV's fault they don't get to play hard teams..i believe that if given the opportunity, WVU would show just what they are made of..

WVU's chances against either Michigan or Ohio State would be remote, given that their defenses eats up running games, and to force your QB to throw to beat them, the chances are not good. WVU just might (and I am loosely saying that word) get ot the game, but would have a snowball's chance in hell of winning, because they have not faced a defense like Michigan's or Ohio State's all year long

As far as ESPN commentator's goes, I too listen to College GameDay, and they said they have a chance, not a good one, but a chance

Besides, all three undefeated Big East will cancel themselves out, leaving nothing else but the two who is #1 and #2 right now. Maybe next year, Izzy

PS tell your team to put more tougher teams on its schedule, and then the computers just may like them

I can't believe that anyone would think that West Virginia would be a candidate to win a National Championship. They are ranked third but is not even a strong third. Look at the percentage. Ohio State has over 98 percentile while Michigan has over a 96 percentile and West Virginia has like over a 74 percentile. The team ranked number 11 is closer to third than you at third are to Ohio State. With their percentile, BOTH Michigan and the Buckeyes can probably afford to lose a game and still not affect them being number 1 and 2 in the nation. The only way I see WV having any shot is if they run the table and Ohio State and Michigan lose TWO games each. That will not happen. Or as I like to say IMAGINE THAT!!!
