Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away there was Carrie Fisher, forever known as Princess Leia of Star Wars (or as the M16 toting ex-girlfriend of John Belushi in Blues Brothers).

And here it is, the picture of Princess Leia in the slave girl costume from Return of the Jedi - the outfit that launched a thousand fantasies. The second picture is Carrie Fisher and her stunt double from Jedi. Carrie has stated that the costume was tricky to wear. Not only was it rather skimpy, but because of the way it was made she had to be careful how she moved or she would show far more than was allowed in a PG movie. That must have made the task of the stunt double particularly difficult. The last picture is the movie scene we were all hoping for.

They say that at the various sci-fi conventions the slave girl costume is one of the most popular. I can understand that!

And it's not everyday you see pictures of NBA cheerleaders going barefoot.

You are definitely right about that. Out of several thousand cheerleader pictures that I have seen in the last few years I have found exactly six shots of barefoot NBA cheerleaders. In addition to the one above I have seen one of the Philadelphia 76ers and four of the Portland Trailblazers.
