Hi Myriads, I saw your post here and how you mentioned about my helping f/f. Let me tell you what I know.
As I told you, f/f left me a PM in my box last night saying she cant get in, and wondering if I could help. I referred her to you. The advice you gave her is exactly the right advice, because, you know the chat system best. I can also tell you, as you probably know, that the downloading java advice which you gave f/f worked for me, as I had java issues and a corrupted or non functioning java from time to time, and by going to the sunmicrosystems website that you recommended to f/f, and downloading a new java applet or chat applet, I was then able to get in to the chat.
This being said, effy, I have no idea why Myriads advice didnt work on your system, as Iam not familar with your precise computer. I have a dell, and what Myriads advised you has worked for me on the occasions that I have not been able to get in, and there have been many over the 16 months I have been here, believe me. The best advice I can offer you I think, and Iam hoping Myriads agrees, is to again go to the sunmircosystems website and keep trying to download new javas until your system accepts it. If that doesnt work, perhaps your system is rejecting the java applet or software you are downloading. In this case, you may want to call tech support for whatever brand your computer is, and ask them to help. Beyond this, I dont know what else I can tell you, as Myriads was able to help me resolve my issue. Since your issue seems to be different, I do not know what the exact problem is. The options I offered are the best ones, and if not, perhaps try to talk to someone else, like a comp tech specialist, because other than that, I regret to say that I do not know how else to help you.
