Chat?

Alright... I tried going to the chatroom page and there seems to be a new file called java virtual machine that needs to be installed, now the only prob with dat is, I have Win XP, and the prog doesn't like that lol, now unless someone has another way of getting into the chat, I'm going to have to say goodbye to chatting.

I hand no trouble logging in the same as usual...I have XP as well..
may just be a glitch...I know from time to time I cant get in when others can and vice-versa

hmm..

probabaly... lol my computer is lucky to be working, I have windows 95/98 and XP running, half of 98 is shoved in 95 and then the XP is a pirated bootleg copy, and when you add Compuhacks Windows tweak, to overclock and change windows around... it well.. I lost video card, sound card and internet hahaha all the drivers had to be updated, but hell its twice as fast as I can ever remember it.

You might have deleted the Java VM that comes with the windows system during your modifications, Tygris. Normally, a Java runtime environment is embedded in IE as well as Netscape, courtesy of the MS Windows OS. You could either patch your browser via official site, or install another Java VM. Ok, I'm a new guy and I actually can't find the entry point to the chatroom! I went to the chatroom page, (the one with the rules etc) but the what? Am i missing something? I can't see a button to click...

Help an idiot today, it'll make you feel better....

Marauder's right. You probably deleted your browser's VM during your diddlings with the OS. Re-patching/re-installing your browser should do the trick.

Tygris...I've had that pop up a couple of times...both after altering my settings in some way. I just grab it back in the DL (It's safe.) and move on with the chat.
