If I meant that you should not have started this thread, I would have said, "You shouldn't have started this thread".
Post what you like, as long as it doesn't violate the Golden Rule.
In my opinon, this thread stirs things up, and gives people a feeble excuse to jump up and down.
On one hand, we have people who are all too willing to believe everything they read without pausing for validation. On the other hand, we have the "perpatrator" getting exactly what he wants which is to ruffle everyones feathers and cause the "real" Yaqi to fall from grace. And of course the deeply saddened and offended Yaqi is now upset at the entire tickling community because he feels that we all should have known better! Paleeeeeze....
This whole deal (meaning situation) is a little too presumptuous for my taste. Just my opinion.
Should anyone have any questions, send me a polite email. (I try to answer all emails within 5 days).

I think I have to agree with Mia that someone is just try to stir things up with the original Yaqi post to AMT. They want to start a bunch of flames and sit back and enjoy the show. So when we spread around those rumours without checking things out we are merely helping them do what they want, namely to get us to fight amongst ourselves. I also feel that maybe people get offended too quickly with regards to these things. My aunt always use to tell me:
"Don't make it easy for anyone to insult you, make them work really hard at it. This way if the person didn't mean to insult you you don't get in a big argument over nothing. If they are trying to insult at least you'll have the pleasure of aggravating them by making them try harder and harder to get you mad."
I think a little less rumour spreading and a little more tolerance and who ever this person or persons are who try to insite this stuff will just go away. Just my huble opinion though.

Yaqi Who?
Who cares what Yaqi thinks anyway? Tickling is not going anywhere and certaintly not on Howard Stern! Yaqi is going to be compared to the likes of the rest of the wack pack that hang out on his show. His is just going to be made out to be a goof. Also, if Yaqi is a member of the TMF why would he bash it? I think it should be simple, he likes tickling we like tickling, whats the problem? Why do things have to be so complicated? Find a foot, grab it and tickle the shit out of it!

I usually try to stay away from blaming people, but I think I have to intervene in this one.

Yaqi has never shown to be an unreasonable person. The only thing constant in his posts is that he is growing tired to the bickering that happens in the newsgroups. When it is related to him, even more so...
You have got to nderstand that this is a very impersonal place and that everyone has a mask behind which they can say whatever they feel. More problematic is the fact that you can impersonate others and damage reputations. I am always weary when I see flames about what someone said. I this one I only had to wait a few days to find out that Yaqi had not post the message in the first place.
Sorry people, but I would rather spend my energy and time trying to find more constructive things to do and say and to fight about why so and so said.
Unfortunately, I just spent a little of that energy in this post... 🙂

Waste time, well it took me about 2 minutes to copy that post to this site. I guess you could do quite a bit in 2 minutes ktickler. I guess maybe if the post was about you you might feel a little different. Ask Dodger how he feels about that. Total time wasted on all my posts on this subject ....7 minutes

For the record I have had one chat with Yaqi in the TMF chat room and he was very polite. He told me how much he appreciated all of the supportive posts sent his way.
I'm unsure of the details of his friction with Dodger.
I think that Talons thought that the AMT post was legit when he put it here, and I don't think he so much intended to start a big thing. When he copied it here it was probably more of a knee jerk reaction, and obviously ALOT of people were fooled besides Talons.
I honestly never thought that something as cool as a TMF member on Stern tickling CatFightBabes and Jenna Jameson would turn into a negative thing. Although Yaqi may not jell well with the group, he has had some respectable accomplishments as of late. When I watch the video tape of Jenna getting tickled I can honestly say that negativity is the furthest thing from my mind.
Yaqi is not obligated to mention the TMF on television. When he's on Stern he's to busy ducking insults to plug his own site. And what would happen if he DID plug us. Could you really picture the Stern crew asking him questions about the TMF. They'd probably abuse us as bad as they abuse him. And on the point of Yaqi getting abused, I think he has alot of guts going on Stern for a second visit knowing fully well that he's going to catch some abuse. I'm sure that the people at Playboy were alot nicer to MTP Jeff. Yaqi walked into hostile territory.
My opinion is that we don't need Howard's generic listners coming to the TMF. Anyone who wants to be here would have found this place already. I see more bad than good coming from an inflow of questionable visitors. It's already a major effort to keep the flames down from people who have been here for months and years. Stern's show is plagued by crank callers. Do we really need crank posters? I think not.

Maybe it was good that Yaqi did not mention the TMF... The reason I think this is because "advertising" the TMF would have encouraged closed-minded imposters to invade this site, and post bogus, insulting and cruel messages, thereby wasting our precious time, and the providers storage space.
Advertising is good as long as you get the desireable clients.
God forbid a couple of those people who were insulting Yaqi got a hold of this site and started insulting us.
Yaqi sacrificed his pride and dignity for something we all have in common. He is to me, a martyr.
But we should learn from his experiences. We shouldn't let his suffering go to waste.
Is tickling ready for mainstream just yet?
I think about how Gay and Lesbian people suffered, and how they continue to suffer today. I don't know if I am ready to make that sacrifice.
Granted the Stern audience may not be reflective of society as a whole, but i think it would be unwise to ignore them completely.
Maybe I have no idea of what I am talking about - and I welcome criticism (but please be tactful!)
But maybe we have a good thing going already, with the TMF and a bountiful selection of tickling-related resources on the web, that we don't need to pursue it any further.

Thanks Wallstreet, I appreciate the backup. And once again you are correct I meant no harm by the post I was actually a little shocked. I guess in hindsight if I had it to do over again I probably would not post anything. Have to be very careful here things easily get misconstrued.😀
