[Dear Mods: Is this the right spot to post this? Love, Aimee]

So let's just say there is this girl. Not me. (Ok, maybe me.) And she wants to start a Clips4Sale page.
If this unknown girl were completely clueless about how to start (which she is) could anyone on this lovely tickling site help her out?
I heard she wants to start a foot fetish/tickling fetish page. It's just an idea, though. Just a little thought.

I.. I mean she...could really use some help. Tips? Pointers? Good idea? Bad idea?
Where to start?
Best way to start?
Is there another site other than Clips4Sale that is better for selling vids and such?

Thank you kindly, TMFers!

🙂

I'd think it would be more advantageous to zipfile the clips and sell them yourself via paypal. There's a small fee involved that way, something like 50 cents. You can take out the middle man (in this case, clips4sale) and profit more while charging the same price.

Just my recommendation.

Whaaaaaaaaaat? Zipfile? WHAT IS THIS FOREIGN LANGUAGE YOU SPEAK SANDROCK?!??! 😛

Yeah, a lot of Tumblr amateur models do the PayPal-Zipfile method. No taxes that way.

It works. If you have any questions about it, feel free to shoot me a PM. I don't want to hijack your thread.

LOL
I don't mind if you hijack my thread!

How's the weather?

I know of a couple of producers who have assisted professional fetish models in opening up clips sites. James Darke in particular comes to mind, though Tommy from TA might have done so as well.

I think it's a wonderful idea for more TMF members to start clips stores, though my only fear would be that it would become too business-like to be fun anymore. In your case, Aimee, I think your membership and popularity here would be a great jumping off point.

I like this zipfiles stuff. Hmmm.. so much easier than C4S ... I had a headache just joining ... :faint:

The downside to using a site like Tumblr is that C4S is THE #1 place to go for fetish clips. The sheer amount of traffic they get is insane, and they do offer help promoting your site.

Aimee, opening a C4S store is easy. Just go to www.clips4sale.com and click the "Open a Studio" button. You'll have to fill out some information, send them a few tax records, etc. but once that's done, the rest is a breeze. I'd be willing to help you if you needed it beyond that, so just drop me a PM.

There's no reason you shouldn't use Tumblr as well as C4S. There's also sites like ExtraLunchMoney and FetishClips. The thing is, it's very much a business and you won't be successful right off the bat, so don't expect to get rich by day two. Also, actually making the clips can be a lot of work if you want to make them halfway decent.

upon further examination you can actually put up stores on a Tumblr blog to sell like socks and stuff, if that's how far you'd want to take it.

Those two links you posted don't actually have stores on them, the girls are merely linking to eBay auctions.

I think it really depends on how much you intend to produce and in what quality. We just had a thread about C4S automatically charging a certain amount of money for a certain length of video, if you use a really good quality camera and are going to bat out a new video every maybe week or two, I see C4S being a logical choice. If you're going to use the amateur aspect as an appeal, being able to set your own prices helps a lot.

Yes, that's another thing to consider; C4S actually takes 40% of your sale as commission. If you want to keep all the moneys, then you don't want to use them.

However, don't expect that everyone who is clamoring to see clips will actually want to buy. That's one of my biggest problems... everyone is all like, "Wonderful clips! More!" but they never actually pay for them; they're just watching the previews.

If you go at it alone without C4S behind you, you're going to be responsible for driving any and all traffic to your site yourself... and that takes a lot more time and effort than people realize. Posting here, for example, may get you a ton of thread views but very little clickthrough and even less purchase. You'll need to do a lot more than that, judging from the threads I've read by camgirls on Stripperweb about monetizing their stores.

So how about: contact a well known, near by producer and get a shoot as a model and then pick his/her brain ;-)

When the producer publish the clip jump in and say how fantastic it was to do the clip and btw more clips of me are available at...
