I think that this forum is probably the largest one, as far as membership goes as it relates to tickle fetish.

However I have found that this forum tends to be just a wee bit cliquish.

(or it could be that nobody has anything to say about my comments... HAHA...)

I find this true especially in the stories section. I have posted several stories in the past and have gotten comments only after I prodded people to read my stuff.

I know I am up against some fantastic authors, but a comment here and there would be nice and it's not like nobody is looking. (Because they are...)

Am I being overly sensitive? (Which makes a better lee of me, what...?) Or is it because there is just a "core" of persons providing feedback to the forum?

Stories & Artwork rarely see comments.

Stories mainly.

It doesn't matter how many posts, friends or people you have/know/beat up/whatever.

Don't take it personally. -- Consider it more of a dumping ground for your thoughts, or a very large electronic diary. If people see it, they see it. If they don't, they don't.

Yes, I think you're being a tad sensitive. But not overtly so.

The clique thing made me laugh, though. -- I've posted an assload of stories that I know a lot of my friends haven't seen & it's really not a big deal. Some people don't take to it.

Keep writing whatever it is you write.

Take solace in knowing that your choice for Thread Title will most likely grant you a ton of attention, though.

Well, some of the cliques you see come from people that have met at gatherings and munches and such, so there's that. And some people here have been posting for the better part of a decade, so they've built a reputation and a good ring of friends. That's just human nature.

As for stories, I'm particularly bad about reading and not posting comments. But if you just look at the number of views, you'll see hundreds by the time it slips backwards into the archives. Lots of people enjoy them, and what you've said is a reminder to me to give feedback more often. 🙂

But if you want a genuine critique so you can improve your writing, it's better to ask for someone to read it with a critical eye.

What Crystal said, pretty much exactly.
Don't worry about it so much. As a writer, I more than understand the desire for feedback, especially from one's friends and peers, but I don't think you should take a lack of it personally. It's a big forum, and I've seen a whole lot of threads go untouched.

That said, the thread title will probably have this thread flooded soon enough.

..& you should take into consideration that there is at least a handful of people fwappin' it to what you wrote & are too busy to comment.

That might help.

First off...I am glad this post was about stories and not actually about the "Cliques". Thank goodness..

But Crystal nailed it.
Isn't there some website where you can post stories and get a lot of feedback because it's mainly a story forum? Ah..maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

It's not so much a clique so much as people are more familiar with people who post regularly. Just keep at it.

Tickle Theater is more art/story based, maybe you're thinking of that.

I think Crystal actually did a very good job of hitting the nail on the head. As somebody who has been posting stories since the birth of this forum, I can deffinitly say that you should expect a low level of responses to your stories. I've had stories get into the thousands of views, but less then 10 responses, which makes it less then 1% reader responses. It can be a little disheartening at first, but the best advice I can give is to write for yourself and take the comments as a sort of salt and pepper on your steak. Think of it as just an added bonus and not the main goal. The main goal is to get your completed work out there for people to see and for your own enjoyment.

Also, something i've personally done is now whenever i read i story, i try and take the time to respond. A person spent the time to write it, then i can spend the time to respond to it after i've read it. However, it doesn't always work out like that, but I try.

The actual content, specifically stories and artwork, has received less and less feedback over the years. It's nothing personal. Though, if you'd like more feedback on your writing, try posting it on a creative writing website, not the TMF. With my artwork, I get more feedback on Deviant Art than I ever did on tickling sites.

What I want to know is, are there hot Queen Bees/Mean Girls who need to be taken down a peg with a good tickling?

Same here, only I also post on short story sites. There, people like to call it "kinky".
