Closing Clip Store Soon!

I recently opened a clip store to sell some videos I made of a few girls getting tickled on their feet and body. It has been open for three months and I have nor really made any money off of it, so I will be closing it soon. I thought I would make a post asking anyone to go and see my videos and buy a few if you like them because by this time next month the store will be closed. Thanks for your support.

Can I ask, why do producers close clip stores? If they don't make a profit I can see not updating them, but why close them completely where they can never make anything in the future? The models are paid and the releases are signed, unless C4S charges a kind of membership fee (which for all I know they might) it's always struck me as strange when producers closed up shop due to lack of sales.

That said these look pretty good, and I'll probably buy a couple before you end it.

Hi.

The tickle video production is something that does not move as some people believe. This industry is somewhat smaller than the pornography industry, therefore, the profits are very few. There are months in which earnings are not received as well as there are also months you can get good profits.

You must have some patience, because the first few months, you'll always see losses in any business you start.

As a producer upcoming keep trying do not quit. It can be a hobby of sorts if need be not a career. I am opening my store strictly on passion for the fetish not the money. In fact I am allowing it to pay for itself through the store.

I don't know for sure but if I had to guess I bet there'd be some kind of membership fee or monthly rent to keep your store open. So I see how someone may have to close a store depending on how high that monthly fee is.

No. The hard drive I had my clips on got corrupted and I lost everything. I know a good video converter that is free though (Prism Video File Converter)

Anyway, that sucks. Being forcibly shut down for something that's out of your control doesn't seem fair.

I think the op is being way to harsh on himself, you've only been open for three months! Your already thinking about packing up, you need to give yourself a lot longer, I would of said at least 24months ie 2 yrs, to see if you could get anywhere near a return from your investment/fun. You've got to understand your selling niche product, alongside a lot of ther established producer's. You also need to find something that make your clips special, and make people want to buy.

I really do think your being way to hard on yourself. I actually made a loss on the Ministry of Tickling last year, as it had only been open 18-19months, just after Jan 2013 it went into profit. Plus you've only got 17movies up (if I counted right??) You need more stock, you also need to give it more time.

Hope this gives you a lift, and encourages you to carry on.

Man, please don't close your store just yet. Give it more time. You probably need to do more marketing for your clips to sell. A couple of months is way too early to throw in the towel.

I suggest you try new things. For instance, try posting some 1 minute or less preview clips on the forum so the potential buyers will have a better idea of what to expect from the clip. Most customers usually make sure they know what they're getting before they purchase a clip. I'm pretty sure your sales will go up significantly. If that doesn't work, try something else. There are a lot of better solutions than closing the store.

I'm a foot photographer so I really know how rejection feels. Plus, I'm from the Philippines so the rejection I get is probably ten times worse than what you get. I'm not making an assumption, but MAYBE there's something wrong with how you approach them, which is why they wouldn't meet you. You probably may have said something that became a deal breaker. Again, I'm not saying that it's a bad thing but if you want to get more girls to shoot with you then some sort of innovation has to be done when it comes to your strategy in getting them to agree.

Yeah, I noticed that too. There are some stores that haven't added any clips for 5 or 6 years and are still open. You should ask them why they're shutting you down when these stores are still open.

Be patient, man! I own a images4sale-store by myself and run it since 5 Years!

I don't get rich from it, for sure, but over the years, I sel something and it is just a little extra-money for me.

Nobody should think, he could live from an online fetish-video-shop! It's a hobby, not a serious pime job!

The pics I have taken 2000-2002 have brought in their costs within 2 years!

But it is a hobby, as I already said! It's extra-money, not my main income!
I have an ordinary office-job and all I do online, is a little plus for things,
I would have done as part of my fetish and hobby anyway!
Selling the material only started, to get back the money, I spent for doing my hobby!

The stores don't cost anything, so just keep them online and see what is happening.
Place a link in forums, communities and yahoo-groups of fitting themes, so people can find you.

I sold things this year, I have produced in 2001, but I sold my series 10-50 times over the last 13 years!

Don't give up so fast! Do new shootings everytime you can afford it and add this new material to your store.

Remember: x4sale doesn't cost you money! They only take their cut from what you sell,
but they don't demand a constant, monthly rent for your store, so you are not under pressure!

Keep up your work, but take it as it is: A hobby, a fetish, a sparetime-fun, NOT A REGULAR JOB,
and especial not a fast-growing money-machine!
