For my money, it's a no-brainer.

LaDanian Tomlinson.

Hands down.

It's Michael Vick...the man could very well save the Eagles, considering what he did that led to his downfall. People are capable of changing for the better.

In this order,

1. Michael Vick
2. Wes Welker
3. Ladanian Tomlinson
4. Terrell Owens

Can't argue with Mike Vick. But, TO has been outstanding this year on a horrible team. Besides a couple of weeks he has been making the defensive backs look like fools. If he can have 2 or 3 more big weeks this year he will be an NFL leading receiver and should really be looked at for this award.

all are good choices to didnt really have a bad year last year though and LT wasnt that bad either

I think some people forget what the CBPOY award qualifications are:

The NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award has been given out after every season since 1972 (except for 1985) by Pro Football Weekly. The player named Comeback Player of the Year shows perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance. Beginning in 1992 the Pro Football Writers of America and Pro Football Weekly combined for their awards, including the comeback player of the year, and it continues to this day.

Notice the bold faced section. Micheal Vick does not qualify by those standards. He was in the NFL last year, did not have poor performance (simply did not get chances) nor did he have a severe injury.

Wes Welker would be a choice, Brain Urlacher another.

LT wouldn't technically qualify either....but he could slide in under poor performance.

Rob

yeah i agree rob but liek i said LT still ran for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns which is an extremely high number of tds

Michael Vick, hands down whether he qualifies or not they should make him a designation. He's been working his arse off and winning games and looking good while doing it.

TO would be next; he sure gave us the business when the Bengals played the Browns. He's made Ochocinco irrelevant.

Good points Rob, Neither Vick or LT qualify then. I would have to go with Urlacher then.

Not getting a chance does equal poor performance. Why always give it to the guy that was injured knowing he was at least good every year? Like Tom Brady winning last year. That was a forgone conclusion he would win.

Why not Vick or LT? Those two and Owens should be the front runners.

In this order,

1. Michael Vick
2. Wes Welker
3. Ladanian Tomlinson
4. Terrell Owens

Welker??? Really??? Why??? He caught 123 passes a year ago. He has caught 65 coming into this weekend. He played in 14 of the 16 games last year and he got hurt the last game of the year. Exactly WHY would he be comeback player of the year?

Mike Vick is finally showing what people thought he would be given maturity and growth but alas doesn't qualify under the stated parameters.

Wes Welker, while yes overcoming the odds of a traumatic injury, did in fact go down in the last game of the season and his numbers this year don't sniff his production last year.

LT is likely a front runner based on the rules, but frankly I wouldn't vote for him because frankly he quit IMO in San Diego because he was sick of management and wanted out.

Frankly my vote would be Matt Cassel. He's finally showing the potential he showed when Brady went down and has his team on top of its division and in the playoffs to date.

TO would be next; he sure gave us the business when the Bengals played the Browns. He's made Ochocinco irrelevant.

Several weeks ago, I would have said TO until I saw him hot dog it back to the line of scrimmage at the end of the game which cost his team time on the clock. That was his way of pouting for not getting the ball.

The comeback player is easily Michael Vick.
