Comfort food

[Snail Shell]

H'okay. So you just came home from a lousy day at work. You're tired, and pouty and there's no one about. You climb out of your work clothes, slide on your favourite pj's and curl up on the couch with your DVD remote in one hand and your fave snack food in the other to help forget the day that's just been.

What's your fave comfort food on days like this?

I like graham crackers. 😀

Cheese. But I eat too much of it, which gives me some gastrointestinal qualms, so I have to cancel it out with some foods that are high in fiber 🙂

Mashed potatoes, ice cream, and/or bread pudding. That is some serious comfort food right there.

Though I love sushi so much, I could never be upset if I had some.

Hot buttered popcorn with Snocaps and Raisinets sprinked on top and hot tea with lemon.

OR a liverwurst sammich on raisin bread with Miracle Whip and honey mustard.

If I can be bothered? Pig sandwich.

If I can't? Chop up potatoes, deepfry. Add butter when on plate.

If I really can't? Whatever is lying around and takes zero effort to grab. Apples, cheese (esp. in combination), crisps, whatever.

Spaghettios and grilled cheese. Mmmm. The ultimate in comfort foods prior to my allergies. Now it would be peanut butter with celery, or sushi (it counts because it's so expensive), or mashed potatoes with some soy milk, fresh garlic, and olive oil. Awesome shtuff.

Well, seeing as how i'm trying to finish up work for the day, i can say that i'm currently in the mood for pizza (would loves me some Ciro's right about now)...but then again, i'm in the mood for pizza most any time.

More specifically to the point, i guess i'd list my favorite "comfort" food as freshly baked choco-chip cookies...uh, YUM!!
