I hesitate to do anything fancy to my computer, reason being that a lot of sites that offer you free screensavers, smileys and other 'accessories' don't tell you that you'll be inviting a host of viruses in, too. I just had a virus scan last night, thanks to my trusty Norton Internet Security, and found at least 200 bugs which came as a result of some freebie thing I downloaded. Fortunately, they were detected before they could do any harm.

What is wallpaper, anyway? Is it downloadable? If it is, I'd use caution.

I had a picture of The Beatles' "Abbey Road" album cover, but when it came time to display it, I had about 100 little Abbey Road covers on here. That was a little overwhelming. So I deleted it and went back to the sunrise over the ocean setting.

Screensaver...wallpaper... I just bought the computer in September. I'm glad I know how to turn it on.

I have a black screen with no icons on it.

I just recently read that I can empty out the windoze "tray" as well; I wasn't aware of that. Will be examining this.

well lets see, one time for a wallpaper on my computer i had a pic of ty pennington that i got from his website(pics that were designated to be used as wallpaper)...currently i have garfield the movie as a wallpaper(on that site you could select images of garfield or whatever and design your own)...i'm thinking of changing it in the near future though...i've also used sigs that i've gotten over the last few years as wallpaper too

this is my wallpaper. it's a picture my son took of my favorite flower. I had them popping up all over my backyard one summer. we used to go on 'daisy rescue' with a wheelbarrow and relocate (save from the lawnmower) them.

I vary mine quite often, depending on my mood and the season. I often use holiday oriented wallpaper. I always look for high end graphically enhanced 3-D stuff. This one here is one of my favorites, and a good example of what I'm talking about..

Resized, of course, for posting here. In full size, it's total eye candy. I love stuff like that...high color, high gloss, high detail...stuff that just mesmerizes you.
