Today he has reached another milestone, that of 12,000 posts:

AMK seems to have left us. Venray, you, and I are still here. It remains to be seen if HDS will be back--he hasn't posted since #12,000 so far. Lime is over 6,000 and posting often.

The days of me being an uber-poster are over. It's too soul destroying trying to keep up with you. Interesting psychology lesson actually. I started the trend of uber-posting back in the middle of 2002. Back then posting 50 a day was considered staggering. I posted 200 in one day after trawling the Polls Forum and that was considered an unasailable act of utter sadness. (You might remember that day, you posted saying thanks for reviving one of your polls, only to notice that I had revived several others that day, as I was on a posting bender.)

Then AMK came on the scene and he broke my interest by consistently posting in excess of 30 a day. I just couldn't compete with that. Ven stopped him becomming the #1 poster by posting a huge amount of images. When he left I recovered my interest somewhat, but that was knackered with the advent of HDS who became a red Feather in about a fortnight and sported a posting average of just over 80 before he went on his summer holiday. While he was away I recovered my enthusiasm again and became the top poster for the third time. (Indeed I became the TMF's first ever Violet Feather.) Then he came back and day by day my lead dwindled until he overtook me again.


Finally seeing you suddenly develop a manic streak that eclipses me, HDS, AMK and Venray put together, finally broke me for good. To stay with you I would have to be rooted to my computer for 6-10 hours a day. Sadly I work 12 hour shifts for 4-5 day stretches at the moment, and it just isn't physically possible. Be proud Mil, you broke Big Jim. Put it in your signature or something. 😉

What happened suddenly was that I bought a new computer and got a cable modem at home. I didn't mean to break anybody, just to have fun posting. Which I still do.

At my friends house today, it is amazing how inadequate a 56K telephone modem seems when you're used to the speed of cable.

To me the humor forum is like a slow speed chat room. I can exchange quips and information with Raichyll, Lime, Chris, NT, and others, without having to think and type rapidly, with being able to edit and look something up on google.

I must agree with Jim. Before the summer, I had so little of a life that I could've kept pace with you, but as always, spending long periods of time with my dad does bizzare stuff, and I somehow picked up some semblance of a life. I still am amazed as to how you are able to spend more than 5 hours a day on here. It's insane....


But, just wait......until someday, when I shed this life of mine.....I will return......


Oh, and thank you to all.😀 Of course, I am the first one to say that 99% of my posts are useless garbage, but hey, it was fun.😀
