Couldn't resist tickling my patient a little...

The following are just a few thoughts of my own. I think you were unprofessional, but I also hope to explain my reasons why in a way that isn't argumentative. Hopefully I will succeed there. What makes this an uncomfortable read for me is that you mention two things... that your "tickle perv" brain was turned on and that you "couldn't resist palpating her in a way that could tickle," so the act itself was intentional based off the information your patient gave you. You also mention knowing that it was wrong. So what I ask is for you to put yourself on the other side. Imagine a doctor examining you and doing something that is a sexual turn-on for them during the exam... something under the radar that could be perceived as innocent, but to you it's a bigger deal. If something of that nature happened to me, I'd file a complaint. I'm also a tad worried that you may have a mindset to do it again. If you should get caught, it's really not anyone's fault but your own.

I've now read all the reply's in this thread. This does seem to me like a balanced and logical argument to me.

Whilst I know certain people have way over reacted (hang from tree, gut, I mean come on no harm was actually done).

However just because no harm was done does not in itself make it right.

Whilst I would not wish to see you punished and do not think what you did was 'evil'.

I also do not think it was entirely ethical either. As a medical practitioner I would not expect you to do anything for your own sexual gratification when treating a patient at all that is not professional behaviour in my opinion.

I think everyone needs to relax a little! Love to hear more from u Dr! 😉

My question is, did you really need to squeeze that girls knee as part of the test?

Also, even though you did tickle some, I applaud your restraint. I couldn't do that. I'm not sure I'd have enough self control if I was a doctor and came across a ticklish patient so for not all out tickle attacking them, I applaud you. However I guess it is technically wrong for you to tickle patients because it's wrong for you to touch patients sexually in any way... but to call you a rapist for it or all these other things is stupid. They didn't seem like they felt violated. They knew how ticklish they are and that it would probably tickle while touching a very ticklish area so they probably didn't blame you or think you're a bad person for it.

This got pretty heated. I've deleted all the excessively hostile replies, and people who went too far have been warned privately.

As you can see from the posts that survived my edit, it's possible to disagree with this without being a jerk about it. Please put some thought into what you have to say.

My personal opinion is that it's wrong what you did, because you took a deliberate action to do something that you knew would tickle. In my mind, another version of your story goes like this - I'm a doctor and a male patient came into my office for his yearly prostate check. He warned me about his personal sensitivity, but I found him attractive so while doing my medical job I chose to touch him in a way that I would find personally intimate but could have been avoided if I wanted to.

If I knew my doctor made a decision to conduct my exam in a way that he found personally arousing, I would be outraged and I would absolutely consult a lawyer.

Here's an article that this reminds me of: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai...ltiple-doctors-examinations-article-1.1093546

"Sadly, the TV host said that this wasn’t the only time a male doctor had made her feel uncomfortable.

She also revealed that she has endured other medical examinations during which the doctors, including a male gynecologist, complimented her belly button piercing before touching it."

Menounous, trying to be polite, left the doctor without complaining. He had no way of knowing how incredibly uncomfortable he had made her feel. You have no way of really knowing how you made your patient feel, despite how polite she may have been while in the vulnerable position of being face-to-face with her doctor.

Personally, my preference would be that doctors maintain professional detachment at all times. And I'm sort of disappointed to find one bragging about something like this on a fetish forum.

That's just my two cents.
