Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin Killed

Naw he wasnt obnoxious, not like Billy Mays. Rest in peace Steve. Ya love what ya did so you went out happy. :speechles

Like Ness said, he was the most enthusiastic person I knew, and to be cut down by a creature who's sting rarely kills. 🙁

And it was only two or three days ago when I requested a tickle pic with him in it for snail shell. :'(

I'll miss him.

Wow, that's ironic, but as has been said, it was bound to happen. I'm glad he went out doing what he loved. I always liked him really, and it's ashamed. I feel for his wife and kids too. RIP Steve Irwin, for he was a great man.
 
He loved his family and he loved the animals. You have to respect him for what he stood for and what he did as for the awareness he brought to many.
 
It is a terrrible tradgedy after all the things he had done.I thought he was brilliant.
 
The man who made "CRIKEY!" a household and worldwide commonality...he will indeed be missed. 🙁

I could be wrong, but I recall reading somewhere that there was footage of the stingray piercing Irwin with the barb.
 
As he once said him self "One day you will all be going, I knew the crocs would get him". He may have got the wrong animal but he was a great man I loved his show.
May his legacy live on and may he continue to wrestle crocs in heaven.
 
I adored Steve Irwin he was a great guy i loved his show and i am very sorry that he died! Steve Irwin (1962-2006) rest in peace!
 
in recent news it seems they caught his death on tape. he apparently pulled it outta his chest right before he died. hella way to go.

Whoa! what a manly way to go. Peace to his family, hopefully his kids won't be detered by this.
 
As sad as this is, and unfortunate, its not ironic that dying at the hands of animal was his fate, especially with his training, level of safety, and the odds that this would happen like it did.

Be that as it may, however, from what I can tell and have seen, he is/was a passionate man who had a deep respect for all life and he wanted to share that knowledge with the world. That is a special kind of devotion and calling, and with it, claims many blessings from above.

Love such as this does not go unrewarded, and I'm sure he's reaping what he sowed. RIP, Steve Irwin.
 
Although i never did watch his tv show, i wish him a good travel. RIP.
 
I actually had a feeling that he'd die in the ocean. 🙁

On land he was so quick and nimble, he had a supreme level of control and tactical thinking that virtually made him safe from the crocs and snakes.

But the ocean is a whole new place which no man has great control in. 🙁

Man, I'm gonna miss him.
 
the hollywood brother was not a real big fan but the hollywood brother did respect and enjoy the fellow. his shows were funny, entertaining and education at the same time. This is a man who taught many millions of humans all about animals and was a good person. The hollywood brother think this is what he should be remembered for. the hollywood brother also feels bad for his children and his wife who was also on his show as a special guest star sometimes. To lose someone that young and still have so many years left on earth without the person you married got to be real friggin terrible. The Hollywood brother heart goes out to the man's family who have to live and survive after his death that came way too early in his life
 
I'm glad this thread was started; shows that u guys realize what a great man he was too...I just saw a special edition thing on Animal Planet about his life....(He actually took a camera crue with him when his daughter was born...Haha:happy: ) He basically sacrifeced his life to show the world "These beautiful creatures" in his own "Croicky" way....I, for the first time in years, cried....🙁
 
Sad to hear of his death. It was an occupational hazard of course, so if you're gonna go, it may as well be doing what you love the most. I hope his wife can carry on his legacy and his kids get to know what he was really like through her.
 
The stingray stabbed him in the heart with its stinger. I think he died because he pulled it out. You are never supposed to pull something out of your body if you are stabbed deeply. The object is holding your blood in your body and if you pull it out, especially under water, blood will flow out very quickly.

It's sad, especially for his family.

especially something barbed, does extra tissue damage when pulled out, not to mention your body can't clot a wound underwater.

in memory of him, i've dedicated my middle slot of my siggy to a little something i found on the net, which is great rememberance of him.
