David Ortiz was shot outside an entertainment center Sunday. Reports are that he was shot in the back and the bullet passed through him out his stomach. He is out of surgery and in stable condition at the moment.

The suspect was being detained by police, but no motive has been given.

This story is getting weirder every day. Now, it appears the shooting was a hit, but Ortiz was not the target. Details are still coming out.

He is bloody lucky to be alive. Getting shot in the stomach usually causes you 30 to 45 minutes of AGONY before you die. I'm guessing they got him medical treatment in time. Also, what kind of idiot assassin attempts an assassination in the middle of a crowded stadium in broad daylight?
