This is a post that deserves a read. A couple of new and interesting things (for me, at least!). Pops a myth or two . . . I have long suspected that, under the right circumstances, a majority of people enjoy being tickled (at least briefly). After all, it's affectionate attention!

stocks

i was discussing this subject a few days ago wih a very ticklish female friend.
on the subject of how many people fantasise about the subject.
i thought it would be a good experiment to lock her in a set of village stocks which there are still a lot of in tourist attractive parts of england.
once locked in the stocks, remove her shoes and watch the reactions of passers by. she said no one would go near her feet. i said that a percentage of people would not be able to pass the chance by.
what a great experiment that would be.
