I am watching the DV recording of NFL Insiders about an hour after the Wells' report had been released. They are discussing who knew what when, and the punishment should be.

Different opinions have been weighing in. I refer to quarterbacks Ron Jaworski and Mark Brunell and center Jeff Saturday. They are saying that Tom Brady NOT knowing that the balls were underinflated is complete bunk. Brunell said that he doesn't know any equipment manager would take it on his own initiative to deflate balls without the say-so of the starting quarterback.

With all of the denials of Brady plus the fact that he refused to turn over cell phone records when asked by the league to, circumstantial though it may be, paints him less than reputable in my book. Tom's agent is saying it's a sting operation against Brady and the Patriots, but the thing is, the league is the perpetrator of this allegation, not another team, another coach or owner.

Brady's reaction to this is akin to Nixon's reaction to Watergate. He resigned. Brady will get off with what amounts to a slap on the wrist. The Patriots organization will probably get fined and lose a draft pick or two. The sad thing is, two equipment managers are most likely fired and out of a job.

The legacy of the team is solid, winning four Super Bowls is difficult. But the perception of the organization with Spygate and now this, will be fodder for fans of other teams that think that the Patriots can't win without cheating.

Roger Goodell will suspend Tom Brady for the 1st 4 Games..........of the Pre-Season

But in all seriousness, I can't imagine anything worse than the 1st 4 Regular Season Games he gets suspended, along with a heavy fine.

It does raise questions though. Spygate could have dated back to their Titles in the 2000s. And until Superbowl 49, the Patriots were 0-2 in Superbowls that were Post Spy-Gate. And let's be honest, Superbowl 49 was Handed to them.

So it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Granted the punishment is yet to come, but it's a shame that Brady is probably going to get suspended for four games. Sean Peyton got suspended for a year after Bountygate. Brady said that he wouldn't do ANYTHING to destroy the integrity of the game and that he was unaware of the rule about the inflation of the footballs. I call bull****, you've been in the league for 14 years and don't know the rules?

As for Kraft and Bilicheat, as Goodell says, ignorance is no excuse. This is the second major violation from the team, and as Bill Polian of the competition committee says, this is not like a parking ticket or going 5 miles an hour over the speed limit, it's a major violation. I say at least a $500,000 fine, loss of a second and third round draftpick in 2016, and a year suspension for both Bilicheat and Brady.
