Yesterday, I woke to this sad news of one of the most respected sports broadcasters.
I knew he covered tennis, especially at Wimbledon; but I didn't know he also did play-by play for 8 Super Bowls, covered the 1982 World Series, multiple final fours and covered four Olympic games.
He was truly versatile as some broadcasters aren't. Can you imaging Mike (Doc) Emmerick covering golf or tennis? I can't.
In the piece, it was said he call an event and then take the tape home and critique his own work and find out what worked and what he could improve on, now that's dedication to a craft!
He was a great sportscaster and will be missed, RIP Mr. Enberg.
