Let me just say that I love the Zelda series, also I love the wii, but after finally playing Zelda TP I have to say it was just not the Zelda feel that I was use to. Like in previous Zelda games the story of the game immediately got me hooked, but this one just didn't do it for me. Also when I first heard that you can turn into a werewolf at first I was skeptical than I thought it was pretty cool but than it just became repetitive, collecting tears over and over again boring. The temples were just awful, I got up to the water temple were you have to keep changing the stair case and it was more of a pain in the A. every boss I fought was way too easy. It was like I soon as you figured out how to stun them or bring them down it was like two hits and the boss was defeated. Don't get me wrong the game looks really nice for wii graphics and the controls were easy to get use to, I mean I love the wii Mario kart is awesome all though the lighting cloud item is probably the stupidest item ever made. Mario galaxy is great but will Nintendo ever make a Mario game where wario or walugi is the bad guy instead of Bowser. But the Zelda TP was just not a game I enjoyed.

Ohh? Mmm, my TP experience was quite the opposite, actually. You got a point that the tear-collecting is quite annoying, but it only happens for the three provinces in the first third of the game. The bosses are quite easy, however. The dungeons, though, I thought were really made well. I really enjoyed the creativity in this game. The whole thing about turning into a wolf I thought was a strength to the game, in my opinion. I mean, it's nothing too deviant, even for a Zelda game. And it's just another new, inventive way to fill the "two-world" element that plays a role in most of the games. The interaction with the characters, and the sub-plots and backstories are simply amazing, in my opinon. Heck, the main story itself is quite awesome. Another amazing thing, methinks, is the conglomeration of many elements and themes from the past Zelda games. As a certified Zelda-freak, I honestly thought Miyamoto and his team did an excellent job with Twilight Princess.

That's just my personal opinion. Keep that in mind.

It did. But BAH! It gets too much hate in my opinion. Thing is, it was more different than people think. Every since OoT, Zelda has been full of SIDEQUESTIN GAEMS! TP was the first since to focus on the main quest. Midna is arguably the the best character the series has ever done. It didn't have tons of characters with little sidequests, but the ones it had were just as good as WWs mostly. Zant was actually the best done Zelda villain yet, second maybe only to WW Ganondorf.

Yes, the enemies and bosses were too easy, albeit quite epic actually, but funny, they were in WW too, yet none complains about them. The dungeons were actually pretty well designed though, moreso than WW's and many of the older games. This is just thrown off by RUPEES EVERYWHERE, which has seriously been a problem in every Zelda. The wolf thing was like MM's masks, but overall better. YES, it was better. Fuck your nostalgia, it was. Also, the light tear quests WEREN'T THAT BIG A PART OF THE GAME!!! Get over it, I'd take them over the Anju/Kafee sidequest or the Triforce Hunt.

No, it wasn't a perfect game. But it was still damn great. And no, I didn't start Zelda with it, I started Zelda with LttP back in 93.

I Like The Game

I just thought to put my opinion on it. I really like Twilight Princess...It does become mindnumbingly easy at points, but the dungeons/temples usually keep you looking around for the next thing.

I will admit, I first played this game on the GameCube...and I must say, Playing in now on the Wii IS MUCH EASIER!!!

One word.

DARKNUTS!!! :evilha:

Also on the creative dungeon development, how it adds to the challenge...one prime example, in my opinion, is the Snowpeak Ruins. Notice how there are no hearts anywhere to be found. Not in pots, not on enemies, not anywhere. Only way to regenerate health is with potions (thank goodness for free soup... 😀)...then again, I tend to reserve my bottles for fairies, mainly, and not for potions...so that kinda threw a wrench in my strategy.

But, considering the layout of the dungeon, and the things needed to be done to get through...quite unique, and challenging in and of itself.

'Course, the best thing I loved about the game HAS to be the plot. My gosh, amazingness!!! ^_^

you could also regenerate hearts by collecting the two heart pieces..

also I noticed this was the first zelda game to get a rating other than E. Maybe I'll give this game a second chance but I still feel that this game was just not what I expected for zelda. maybe to me it seemed like they were aiming for a older audience so they tried to make this game more mature than what I'm use too. I loved Wind Waker but everyone hated the cartoon graphics, I didn't mind them.

I definitely agree with you on that point, though, that it really is meant for a more mature audience...not really with the graphics and such, methinks, but with the brains. I mean, there was some pretty complex stuff going on with the story. Felt more like a novel than a videogame, to me. Which is a good thing, for my preferences.

Then again, most young gamers who use their brains are leaning more in that direction, as opposed to the old-school gaming mindset. I think the younger generations are becoming significantly more right-brained than anything else...for now. It kinda works...kinda being reflected in lots of the more popular recent games, anyway.

And Wind Waker kicks butt. My favorite Zelda game, really. The cell-shading isn't a turn-off for me... (*has a weakness for cute things* xD) Ganondorf in that game ish teh RAWR. ^_^
