Do you ever wish that you were Younger again?

for all the 18+ members on this forum. Do you ever wish that you were younger? i kinda do wish i was younger and like back in my high school days again. Maybe its just be worrying and feeling sad for myself. But its just the way i feel at times.

Mannnnn, you dont know how much I wish I was young again and in high school. Time goes by soooo fuckin fast you'll never what the hell hit ya once your all grown up. Sure..when were kids its like..I wanna be an adult, I hate living with my parents..blah blah. Trust me, once you've moved on and you are actualy an adult, etc...you look back and feel like being young was just yesturday and damn, I wish I was young again. So yes..I feel ya😉

I don't want to go back to being a teenager, living at home again, but I'd love to be back to my early 20's. Of course, I'd like the knowledge I have now, so I wouldn't make the same mistakes. I'd do a lot of things, very differently!

I'm a little torn here.

Part of me enjoys being older. you are more secure in your life and profession. You get more respect b/c you are older and you are more secure with yourself in general. however, there are times where I think about the time in my 20's when life was much simpler. you don't have the worries of a mortgage, kids, etc... the only bills I had to worry about paying were my car payments. You went to your job and got to go out or chill out without distractions. As much as I loved my parents, the best day came when I moved out on my own and was able to spread my wings.

All said, I am happy in my current life. I have a great family, good job, nice house, so being older is the way to go.

Life begins at 40.

YES,YES,YES. Iwish i was abou 19 to 22 again, because i was in the best shape of my life. I would walk everywhere,ride my bike or walk to the beachand swim.I was popular with the ladies too. And now that i'm 41 and in a power chair, I look back to the "good old days" and wish i could go back in time. Ahhh to be young now that spring is here. q-ball

I would definately love to be younger again. Especially if I could make some changes as to the decisions I made. To bad life is only 20/20 in hindsight and not foresight!

Ya know what I would like?

I'd like to relive individual moments in my life. I don't even want to change them, just live them again. The good and the bad...just to be there and have it all happen again would be a joy.

I don't think I'd want to be younger again; even if I had the present knowledge to take back with me to 'correct' my misguided ways, who knows what other difficulties I would find myself in (isn't that always the way??). 🙄
Having said that, if I WERE to return to my childhood, I would want it to be during that same period in time. I strongly believe it is harder getting through childhood today than it was back during my own time. I have so much empathy for today's youth, and their quest for making it into adulthood successfully.🙂

in the past i've wanted to relive moments as someone else said.
but lately, i do wish i were younger again, and take advantage of some opportunities i passed on.

Most definitely, because I could go back to that fateful day when a knee injury ruined my chances at a shot at the NFL. I got injured in high school, my senior year, in a game when we were up 58-3 and he kept the starters in wayyyyy too long. We ran a halfback sweep to the right, and the free linebacker smashed my knee, and that was it. Lost my scholarship to Michigan State, and the rest is history. Even today, the coach can still never look me in the eyes

Except in regards to what mgctouch said, (only to re-do some of the decisions I've made) but in general, nope--there's a few more pounds and a couple of lines on the face, sure, but what I've gained in wisdom, life experiences, self confidence (NO one pushes me around any more, unlike when I was younger) Would I go back? Hell NO! I had a blast then and I'm having a blast now (--and it's not just because the toys are bigger, better and more expensive) but that is definitely a plus! <gg>
