do you normally fall asleep immediately after going to bed or are you a ''re-hasher''

What I mean by this is are you the type that will lay in bed and ''re-hash'' over the events of the day before drifting off to sleep. I definately have a habit of re-playing even the smallest stuff that happened that day if for some reason it gets stuck in my head . :facepalm2:

I tend to sit, not necessarily rehashing the day but simply sitting. It is rare that I fall asleep in under an hour and, at times, it takes up to or over two. My frequent awakenings during the night compound the problem. Oddly enough, I fall asleep nearly instantly on airplanes.

It depends on what happened during the day. If it's something that has caused me trouble or frustration, I'll rehash it. Otherwise, I fall asleep pretty easily.

Holy crap. You just explained the insomnia I've had since FOREVER. I tend to work shit out before I go to bed, like, everything, so I get some peace while I'm asleep.

Unless it's something huge. Then I chew on a melatonin pill. Sometimes two to counter-effect all the caffeine I ingest daily.

Varies; if I've had an active day I sleep quickly. Otherwise I usually end up reading for a while first.

I don't think about the days events. But i have never been able to fall right asleep, nor have i been able to STAY asleep once asleep.

I try to not think about anything stressful before bed.

It depends. Some days I can't shut my brain off. Other days I'm okay.

I tend to fall asleep pretty easily though when I'm in a happier mood. When I'm depressed forget it. Sleep is rather elusive.

most of the time ill rehash or think about things, not nessicarily from the same day but i tend to think and toss and turn before i fall asleep. Usually ill just turn the tv on to help me fall asleep

It's rare that I fall asleep as soon as I lay down unless I'm completely worn out or drunk or something. I end up thinking about all the tasks that lay ahead in the week or anything stressing me out and it leads to much tossing and turning. If it's really bad, I'll get up and write everything down that I'm thinking. Sometimes that helps.

I have had insomnia issues for years. But really, it varies from night to night. If I'm really ridiculously tired, I'll fall asleep easily. But I have been known to toss and turn plenty on nights that I'm not.

I used to rehash things a lot. Now I worry more about what things are looming up ahead. Like several have said, it's hard to just switch the brain off at will. But I like to meditate a bit at the beginning and end of each day. So I consider it time well spent.

It takes me seconds to fall asleep. I do think about lots of heavy things when I'm lying down for bed, but they don't ever keep me awake.

Without fail, I will always kick myself for the stupid stuff I said or did that night before bed. If I'm not tired, I'll go back to yesterday or the previous week. It's pretty annoying.

Unless I've been up for an entire day I rarely fall asleep right away. I am a huge re-hasher. I constantly think over & over again. I do that during the day too but its worse at night.

I re-hash. Although I mostly re-hash because I just can't sleep, not the other way around. I've had some pretty serious sleeping issues for years now...

I don't rehash. Shit can't be changed. Roll with it.

However, finding that perfect slumber spot is a bitch.
