I don't know if Iowa is wierd, but I see people barefooted in the weridest places (not that im complaining at all!) I have seen bare feet at wal mart a lot, k mart, grocery stores, malls! Is Iowa the place to see bare feet or is it common other places too?

yeah i have seen a few girls around where i'm at. Go bare foot! so its NOT uncommon at all. since thongs and scandals are big right now

Welcome to the TMF as well luvtoez_20_M i'm sure you will like it here

thanks for your opinion, and i do love it here! do you see them going barefoot like INSIDE the stores too?

yeah i have. but thats very rare that i do. i normally see the girls wearing thongs or aka flip flops in the stores.

The closest I see inside of a store is when someone is playing with thier sandal. But I see girls walk around barefoot all the time at shows, concerts, and raves. I've heard two different theories about why girls go barefoot at shows, one I like, the other I find hard to believe. But according to one of my girlfriends (meant as friends who's a girl. I'm not a pimp) when a girl goes to a show she's been looking forward to for a while, she'll wear the best looking pair of shoes she has. And personally, I can't see how girls can wear some of those things cause they look like they hurt, and my friend confirmed this. Since they look good, they hurt the feet a lot, hence why they take them off. The other theory I heard was from the guitarist of the band "Ill Nino", and he said that girls who wear open-toed shoes or go barefoot are groupies ready for some action. This I found a little hard to believe, so I think he's just got a big ego and a little.... um, perspective on life. yeah, that's what I'll say.... But yeah, aside from public shows and concerts, I don't see many people walking around barefoot. But then again, I'm from New England, and it's cold up here at this time of year. So if I see anyone going barefoot in this weather, in my opinion they're crazy.

btw, Blackmoon, I love your icons. I find them absolutely beautiful.

Off Topic

Thanks BoyInTheCorner. most people dislike the eyeball and the girl in the tub Ones! but thats refreshing like you like all of them. i seem to change them every so often. But who knows i may leave them up for longer this time

No problem. I find that a lot of people are afraid and weirded out when they see something that isn't quite happy and cheerful. I love things that are out of the ordinary, and things that are dark and gloomy. I dunno, I'm one of those weird boys who feels comfortable wearing eye-liner in the middle of a cemetary at midnight. I guess I'm just weird. (-:

By the title of this post, it would seem to me that the question of "barefoot" here is an interpretation, so let me share what I see in my area.
I live in PA, and of course the weather gets cold here in the winter. The malls and stores here have strict rules about not going barefoot inside of them, so it is unlikely that one will see any totally barefoot people there. That being said, I have noticed even in recent days with the weather getting colder, girls who wear thongs or flip flops with no socks or stockings, and dangle them so that their feet are bare. The only completely barefoot people are usually by a swimming pool, as I live inland and we have no beaches here, but many times one will see a girl with thongs or sandals with no socks dangling their shoes to show off their feet even in colder weather, which is the closest thing we get to a completely barefoot woman here who isnt sitting by a pool or outside on her porch.

barefoot girls

I live in Iowa too, and in the summer time I see a lot of girls walking around barefooted. but not too much in wal mart or such places.A good place to see girls barefoot is at the flea markets.

Down here in south florida, if you are in the
motel district you will see women barefoot
occasionally at the local 7-11. In fact, when someone
has dirty soles (except at the beach) we call them
'7-11 feet'!

This was the first summer I did not go to the beach.
When I take my son to the beach I unleash my son to
the playground and kill time watching bare feet(a given)!

Last year one of the mom's kept walking from one end
of the playground to the other and she would slip off
her sandals and brush the sand from her soles again
and again. Too bad she did not need my help!

Only time in Ontario, Canada you see barefoot women is in the summer or spring at indoor/outdoor pools, waterparks, parks and beaches.
You see alot more women wearing sandals, mules, slip-ons etc...
😀

I'm from Pennsylvania so the only time you see anyone go barefoot in public is in the summer. You're not going to see anyone walking through a store barefoot, but you catch some glimpes of barefoot ladies in parks and place like that.

Another place you're very likely to see people barefeet around here is on a college campus. I used to live in State College, and always thought living there in the summertime was torture for a ticklephile. There was just so much bare flesh right under your nose that you couldn't touch. I remember a girl walking around barefoot every day in a particulary crowded classroom. I just hated that 🙄 😀

Its been a while since I posted so why not...

I am in central florida and work at Disney. No matter what time of year I can always count on seeing someone without shoes on somewhere. Inside or out, mostly from walking around so much. I also have to agree with Bigbrowneyes as well. When I was going to school, there were barefeet EVERYWHERE. Especially the cute college coeds laying on their stomachs with their soles pointed at anyone who'll look. Another place I see a lot of barefeet is the movie theaters. Girls and guys are always slipping off sandals or even shoes while the movie is on, I've even done it once or twice myself. So if you want to see feet, Florida's not such a bad place, as long as you can stand hurricanes 🙂 .

I always did this in high school--the principal was always on my ass about it--"Young lady, this is NOT the beach!"

These days when I see it in public place (NOT beach, pool, lake-related, etc.) I just think it looks like white trash~it's impossible to keep your feet from getting black doing this, I just prefer to keep them looking pretty, because a girl never knows, ya know? 😉

XOXO

hey, i live in florida, and you see barefeet everywhere from in traffic to malls. I love florida

I'm always running around barefoot. Anywhere I can possibly get away with not wearing shoes, I do it! But I will admit, running around outside, and on people's dirty floors can get my feet a little dirty 🙁 I don't like it but ya gotta take the good with the bad. Oh well 🙂

Oh yeah....

I live in PA, too, but that doesn't stop me LOL I'll walk around outside with no shoes on in January if I want to LOL Sometimes even in the snow lol i HATE wearing shoes.

That's cool, SkipDee. There's nothing sexier than a women who goes barefoot year round 😉 🙂

That's reminds me of something a co-worker said to me. I've never hunted in my life, nor have I ever owned a gun. But there're a lot of hunters around here, which sometimes leaves me with minority status. For humor purposes, I used to go around saying "there was a petition going around to kick me out of town because I don't hunt and I don't own a pick-up." Funny, huh?

Anyway, some of the hunters don't like having me around because I can't join their discussions about hunting. I really don't enjoy having them around because they talk way too much about deer urine. To this day, I refer to them as "hillbillies."

I knew I was going to catch hell for the remark and one day I did. A married lady friend of mine heard me use the phrase and picked on me about it. She said "Hey, whose a bigger hillbilly than me? I live out in the sticks with my husband. We're just a couple of hicks, and I don't like to wear shoes..."

Ok, the reason I bring this is up is that the lady is a very pretty redhead. She's about 6-foot tall, with very long, slim legs and great feet! I think she has the best legs in town. She always wears sandles in the summer so I've gotten some nice glimpses of her feet. She kind of has that Annette O'Toole/Julianne Moore look.

Now, every time I see her, all I can think about is how much I'd like to tickle the pretty lady who doesn't like to wear shoes 😉 🙂 🙂

*Giggling* Yes, so do I, although I've never been rebuked for slipping my shoes or sandals off during class, which I constantly do. The mall is a good place to go barefoot, even though my soles get dirty. (and I keep a pair of flip-flops in my purse, because, while it is permissible to go barefoot on the concourse, many stores have a "no bare feet" policy). I went barefoot in a museum once, but was asked not to after about fifteen minutes. Of course, there is always the park, and the beach, and some of the grassier places on campus. My feet do get kind of rough and dirty, but I keep them clean (Paige will wash them for me if I feel like laughing my @$$ off!), and there are the regular pedicures. Yes, I see plenty of people going barefoot down here, and I'm one of 'em! :feets:
