I don't know if he's innocent or guilty, but if I had been him, I would've ratted on the guy that was offering to assassinate that girl who was gonna talk. That way, I'd at least look innocent....
Kobe is guilty of adultery, not rape. if anyone has been following the case, then it is becoming known that the girl lied about the rape. the defense have already made the claim she had sex with 3 men in the 3 days surrounding the incident. in fact, the panties that the woman wore during the rape examination had semen of a WHITE male. last i checked, Kobe is black. now, either the girl wore dirty panties from days earlier, or, she had sex AFTER Kobe. in fact the defense claims the sex occurred within 15 hours after having sex with Kobe. i dont know about you, but if a woman was raped, i dont see how she could have sex with another guy. the girl's character is horrible, as her mental history has been told. she has done stuff in her past to attract attention to herself. she is a nutcase. she claimed that Kobe "forced" her over a chair and had sex with her from behind. Kobe "held" her down by the neck. yet, there are no bruises on her neck to show any force. she has minimal injuries to her vagina, but again, the woman had sex with others before and possibly AFTER Kobe. unless the prosecution comes up with a blockbuster find, they have no case. Kobe had no problems being examined by authorities as he fully cooperated. he wants them to find evidence that he didnt do it.
now, if Kobe is lying, and all the evidence that is helping his case is false and he truly raped her, then he deserves the maximum punishment the law allows. but c'mon, after following this case, it more an dmore looks like the girl is lying. if anyone disagrees with me, that's fine. however, please support your case by coming up with facts from the case. dont disagree with me and say he's guilty because you "know it" or because he's a pro athlete or because the woman "says so". give me something that has been brought up that points to his guilt. otherwise, you are wasting your time telling me i'm wrong.

As Primetime correctly said, base your opinions on the facts of the case. I, too, believe that Kobe is guilty of adultry but not rape. He is guilty of poor judgement but not the sensational charges being levied against him.

I would be surprised if he is found guilty because I believe that the prosecutions case will be shredded.

If Kobe's guilty of anything, it's a pattern of being stupid and not of rape.
First, Kobe's guilty of marrying a golddigger that was too young for him to be messing with anyway. Half the Lakers team told him not to marry her. She gets pregnant and threatens abortion if he doesn't marry her.
Second, he's guilty of having sex outside of his marriage. Could it be that he married too young? Could it be that he's just like many pro athletes who think they can have any woman they want? Could it be that he just made a horrible mistake in a moment of weakness? It could be all of the above. He managed to have sex with a nutcase, stupid, but not necessarily rape.
I hope justice will prevail, and I hope he's finally learned his lesson. He's married and he should go home to the wife he chose. If he wants to have freelance sex, he needs to divorce. He can't have it both ways.

Yeah, what she said!!!!! You don't know how many people I argued with over the Tyson case. No one in today's society is that naive. What did she do, crawl from underneath a rock the day before the alleged rape? She knew his reputation and went out with him anyway? Correct me if I am wrong, but.... Wasn't she the hotel concierge? Having worked inthe guest services department of a resort, it is my experience that the concierge hours are generally from 8:00AM - 8:00PM (+/-). What in the world was the concierge doing in his room at 1:00AM???
I have ofter wondered if she told her friends that Kobe Bryant was staying at her hotel and one of her friends planted the rape scheme in her head. I get the feelinf that she is not intellegent enough to come up with it by herself.

I don't think the case will hold water b/c the womans crediablity is shot to hell, but, like everybody else said, he DID have sex outside the marriage and adutry is as plain as the nose on his face. There is absolutely no denying that.

I agree totally about your assessment of Kobe. He is an asshole. He should also realize the Lakers CAN do without him and learn to shut up and listen to Shaq a little. I remember when Kobe was out with an injury for a pretty extended period either last year or this year, the Lakers were still an above .500 team. I can't say the same would hold true if Shaq ever went down with an injury. He is THE MAN. there is nobody that can score in the paint, bound, and alter shots like he can.

The Lakers are screwed anyway. Phil Jackson has indicated that it is a very slim chance that he will be back next year and it also seems certain that Kobe will be leaving the LA life style and heading back east.

wait a second people, 1st of all, i am glad to see that there are others who believe in Kobe's innocence in regards to rape. he disappointed me with cheating on his wife, but i know he didnt rape that nutcase. i never wanted to brin gup Mike Tyson, but i dont think he did it either. Mike has admitted to doing a lot of terrible things to people, but to this day, he still denies he raped her. he is very passionate about that. i dont think she was raped. like others said, she KNEW what Mike wanted before she went up there. if i remember the case correctly, there actually wasnt any real damage to her. she is a real small woman and Mike is well, a brute. there would have been some damage if he forced himself. Mike doesnt know what gentle is. Mike was convicted because he had a tax lawyer defend him and his reputation. but we will save that for another day....

Shaq, as much as i love the guy, is a fat, lazy, basketball player. he is still the most dominant player, but he is nothing like he was 4 years ago. Kobe is the 4th quarter man for the Lakers. he can hit clutch shots, time and time again. he makes most of his free throws. in other words, they both needed EACH OTHER. the Lakers do not win with Shaq and the Laker role players. Kobe does not win without Shaq. they needed each other. when Shaq was in Orlando, how many titles did he win? it took Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant to help him win a title. in the finals he has been dominant because the East doesnt have any big men. if you watch Shaq against San Antonio, he isnt destroying them, it is Kobe that is killing the Spurs. remember, the only reason why the Lakers struggle without Shaq is because these Lakers were BUILT around Shaq. but if they were to build around Kobe, the Lakers still will dominate. bottom line, the need EACH OTHER. dont worry people, Kobe isnt leaving the Lakers.....
