Boy, apparently no one here can get good coke; interesting.


BTW, good coke = massive flood of serotonin in the brain = scientifically proven good time... not a lot of room for argument there.

Thoughts?
 
As for me, I 'm an already anxious person and I've never reacted well to "Uppers" of any kind.

I think you're experienced enough in the field to know it's not as black and white as "Serotonin in the brain = a scientifically proven good time".

For argument's sake, say you were to sleep with someone who was hot, but you couldn't stand (Which I'm sure other people aside from me have been stupid enough to do). Technically when you came your head would be full of serotonin, but would you necessarily be having a good time? I don't think so. Whenever people OD they're technically full of serotonin, are they having a good time? Drugs are more complicated than that. In the past I've had as high quality coke as you can get and still had a shit night because so much depends on other factors: the people you're with, the places you hang, the music that's on etc etc etc...

But I definately agree with you about recommending heroin over pills, that makes no sense whatsoever, especially coming from someone in the medical profession.
 
Yeah, P, I suppose you're right about that... "set and setting" is practically the most important thing there is when it comes to drugs.

I would contend, though, that while you may not be having a hypothetical good time, you can still feel great while it's happening.

But I digress... haven't touched the shit in years, deff not worth it.


As of now, I've been sticking with bud and a few beers everyday, and just a little bit more of both on the weekends, with maybe a few Percocets thrown in for good measure from time to time.

Also, looking forward to shrooming again; a weird tradition of mine is to shroom on the longest day of the year in Central Park (wearing shades and sitting quietly as to deter unwanted attention).

I wonder if we pay drastically different prices, as well? For an international forum I think it's a good question but I think we'd be entering the realm of illegality with such a discourse... eheh, I'm sure we're pushing the envelope now with such a discussion!

I would never turn down a line of coke. That being said, I don't go looking for it. If someone has some at a party, then I will partake until its gone. Too dangerous to do full time. I do love smoking ganja though.
 
Saving up the $$ to try some myself for the first time. People I've talked to, books I've read make me eager to.
 
Whenever trying it for the first time, the only advice I can honestly say worked for me and should work for you is never forgetting:

I should point out that with Xanax, my mom actually has a looser reign than I do, lol. The cancer Dr told my mom that she can take it up to three times a day, if she's feeling really stressed. I'm limited to 0.5 MG, once a day, at night, before bed, by my internist, and that's it.

I'm sadly surprised how often people are prescribed Xanax, for such a variety of reasons.... it's an incredibly powerful drug that essentially turns frowns upside down... kinda like soma in Brave New World (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_New_World).

A lot of times I find the prescription of drugs like this unnecessary... thoughts?

A little bit of booze, Xanax and a fat blunt is quite the enjoyable evening in my book.


On a side note, the going rate for Xanax on the street is so profitable and the prevalence so widespread the insistent proliferation of it by Pharm companies is creating one hell of a black market; the "War on Drugs" costs us millions a year combating the "scourge" of "classic" drugs while conventional drugs like Xanax and the like are all but jammed down our throats. Makes me laugh!
