Former pro-wrestler, ironically nicknamed "Dr. Death" Steve Williams died in his home after several years of battling throat cancer six days ago. He was a good man and a great wrestler. A friend to all those he came into contact with. Williams was a four-time All-American as a heavyweight at Oklahoma from 1979-1982 and finished second nationally his senior year. He was an All-Big Eight Conference offensive guard for Oklahoma in 1982.
Current OU wrestling coach Jack Spates called Williams "one of the greatest athletes that the University of Oklahoma has ever produced." He will be missed greatly. All thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

), and I remember him briefly during the WWF's horrendous "Brawl for All" I think it was called, where several superstars boxed each other, with Bart Gunn becoming the champion, in the end. He was the only one I liked watching, because he ferociously beat the crap out of his opponents, and was actually interesting to watch during that crapfest. I was disappointed when he fell and injured his leg, losing to Bart Gunn, if I remember correctly. That just did SO MUCH for Bart Gunn's career, after all!
