that is a great find! i have to get hold of it.

i was listening to the discovery CD during my commute this morning. there are some sounds in a few tracks which sort of remind me of current cell phone ring tones.

i point this out because i kept checking to see if my cell was in fact ringing - i would remove the headphones; check the phone; put the headphones back on. after doing this numerous times in exactly the same fashion, i suspect many fellow bus riders became convinced that i had tourettes. now if they had only taken up a collection on my behalf!

i am listening to the original CD. i will look for the other one you mention, hopefully this weekend.

i do have a DVD of them live at Royal Albert Hall. i like that one a lot.

One of my all time favorite bands and one of the best bands to ever grace the stage.

One of my fondest memories was their "Out of the Blue" concert at Madison Square Garden where the stage was transformed out of a space ship or flying saucer and inside was the Band.
Great concert. Great Band, pure talent.


And yeah! Where the hell has Jeff been hiding?

Jeff Lynne is all over the "Concert For George" CD. He's still got the magic. He does a particularly fine job on the Harrison tune "I Want To Tell You."
