I have a friend who says that the entire reason its rated PG13 is because the movie largly focuses on the court drama and that the exorcism scenes in the movie amount to maybe 7 minutes of the total running time. Sorry horror fans. Im going to see it monday so Ill let you know what I think.

I will wait until after you see it to decide whether it's worth $10.50 (which is what movies cost in Manhattan) to see now, or if I should wait until it comes to cable. 😀

I heard the same thing Lime its mainly a court case rather than a true horror story. The movie trailer though would make you think its more horror though.

I just got back from seeing this...

I went to see this tonight. As Lime said, the story is about the court case. Throught the trial, you see flashbacks of what happened to Emily Rose. It's longer than 7 minutes, but it is told in short sequences. All in all, I enjoyed the movie. It had a couple really creepy or scarey scenes, but if you want a real horror story, or you're looking for something like The Exorcist, you'll be disapointed.

You know the trailer where the reverend says "there is no injection for the devil?" Well, I never saw it during the movie.

It wasnt that bad, mostly court drama, followed by advertising for the Church, then suspense...maybe a smidgen of horror

Courtroom dramas can be captivating, too.

Maybe "Law and Order" will do an episode on it.
