You all know the challenge... put your feet here. Now, let's see how long you can keep them absolutely still while they are tickled. No bondage, no restraint - just your own concentration, willpower and endurance.
Happened to me last night at a New Year's party (not instigated by me, I might add, but the idea made my blood boil!). We all took it in turns to lie on the couch with our feet hanging over the end. We were allowed to laugh as much as we wanted (in the first round anyway).
I was up first and after a few seconds my toes curled (as they do in this situation!). This was deemed as illegal but I demanded another go and managed 48 seconds. Very, very tough. My fists were clenched so hard I split skin with my nails!
The anguish and desperation are totally different to those when you are tied up as you are battling yourself, not the tickler. You have the power to stop the tickling any time you like.
I thought my 48 seconds would win, when the last girl up (9 played) disintegrated into giggles almost immediately. Do you think we could move her? Not a bit... laughed hard but not even so much as a toe-twitch! After 5 minutes everyone (except me!) was getting bored and stopped.
Needless to say she did not fare so well in the second round (no laughing either). In fact, my 31 seconds was good enough to win that.
This was a mind-blowing experience for a New Year's party!
Now it's over to you. Has this happened to you? Ever challenged yourself with this one? What were the rules? How long did you last? How did you get through it? Talk us through it.
If it hasn't happened to you, would you be able to take it for any time? Do you have the powers of concentration to defy your body's every defensive instinct? How long do you think you would last?
I'd be interested to hear.

He of course grins and confidently says, "you're on."

Also he's usually pretty merciful, alternating between intense spidering and gentle teasing.

but pulling away is partly if not wholely an INvoluntary reflex. Tougher to fight off than ones' "Will" being "broken".
