Huge disservice to next generations if books are largely replaced by electronics
I've never been on a trip that required more then one or possibly two books depending on the length of said books. I'm not in the habit of taking a library of books when I travel. I would never get around to reading them anyway. And one or two books take up little space, and don't weight that much. To me, the tradeoff is worth it. 🙂
^That. There might be some advantages with backlit screens? Or changing the font size, enlarging, with some devices, and it's maybe easier to keep copies of books that would go out of print, so it's useful for storage overall,
but I'd want to keep the printed copies available too.
I don't see why we shouldn't always have
both,
and I'll bet the real thing puts a lot less strain on the
eyes
The physical book is more comfortable IMHO. Better for kids too, more relaxing, especially with larger, wider books with larger pictures, more fun to read, especially for the younger kids but also for the older ones.

They like to play computer games and interact with online stories but too much of that isn't good either, for many reasons, and definitely not when they're supposed to go to sleep, I don't think. Like for many adults
😛
Either way we need to recycle paper a helluva lot better.
