Yes one of my coworkers tickled me once - just briefly, thank god, but unfortunately no matter how much I don't want a person to tickle me, I can't help but laugh if they hit the right spot, which were my sides in this case.

At a gathering once, a guy who thought I was comfortable with him had another guy restrain me for a bit and then tickled me. I didn't really like being forced to laugh by someone I didn't want touching me in the first place, but at the same time, I was too nice to really get mad. It only lasted half a minute, but I pretty much ran away after it was over.

Parents have a hard time understanding that. If they knew it was innately sexual to you, they may feel differently... but it would be weirder telling them. I know I could never stand it when a family member did it to me, either.

I know. She doesn't understand because she used to tickle me almost everyday since I was an infant until I was about 10. After that I had a problem with it because I was fully accepting that it was something sexual.

Ironic, because my tickling fetish probably originated with her - creepy as that makes me feel.

It wouldn't surprise me. I've heard it suggested that the fetish originates from being tickled while you're young, anyway. Maybe not in all cases as I believe there are other factors, but it's one theory that I buy into.
