...line up, so I can kick you square in the ass. :grind_tee :sharp_tee 😡

Is that a sarcastic way of saying anyone who voted Bush was wrong and they shouldn't have? Its what makes America America, sweet heart, freedom of choice.

People voted the way the did based on an informed choice. It was clear cut and indisputable. This one can't be chalked up to the ignorance of the masses or some conspiracy. People were more updated and informed this time, and they saw things as they really were. They knew what they were voting for and for whom. Theres very little wiggle room on this issue. Its pretty clear how America feels (it's split), and if Bush wins, even if just barely, then so be it. We've collectively kept him the President then, as bitter, sorrowful, distasteful as that may be to you and a whole lot of people. It just means that many more people disagreed with you, and thats fair.

Whichever way this plays out, it was no mistake. Remember that. Literally, it was no mistake, cheat, or act of foulplay. Whatever happens means we pushed for it to happen as a country. People were very emotional and in touch with this election. Don't be shocked or act surprized when this is over. There will be no reason to be. Everyone that doesn't want it this way will have to come to terms and realize that it IS this way. They'll just have to accept it and move on.

Personally, if Bush wins I'll be glad. If Kerry wins, I'll place hope on him. Bush has proven himself to me. Kerry has not. And if Kerry wins, I can only hope (and pray) for the best.

pray for what now you have a president who dosen't need to worry about reelection and not leaving a legacy dick chenney stated no desire to run for president after bushes term. he has a majority in the house and senate a sick judge in the supereme court, a war in iraq in which i quote n.y times american dead 1178 the nearest casualities was britan with 86 dead.let me get this straight we sent troops over to destroy WMD then were told that iraq oil will fund the cost of this war that we now fighting to free people that we attacked, also bin lauden looked very healthy for someone who is supposed to be in fear of his life. but when your in sadia arabia and have your family protecting you for the oil that by the way future are @ 50 dollars and guess who has a vested interest in oil futures Good Old king Geroge, and The Real President Dickhead has a vested interest in supplying basically all serivices required by the milatary to fight this Nobel war. do you think that are country is going in the right direction you must be wearing rose color glass. some news on the economy oct job loss hit 89000 lost couple with the net loss in sept of 26000 thats over 100000 jobs during an election year what a great economy also 450000000 without healtcare so much for give your poor and huddle masses.and just for kicks lets give a tax during a war hey what's 50000000000 debt for a year but who's counting. but i will congradulate THE KING AND THE PRESIDENT, but when the Shit hit the fan who will he blame THAT WILL BE RICH. and for all of you who thinks i'm just another liberal from mass I voted john kerry and the rest of my ballot chocies went 4 republican 2 indepentants so again hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhahhahahaha you get what you vote for plus one more thought i want to share with you HILLARY 2008 hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Um, I don't even care. Just line up to get your ass kicked. I couldn't give two shits about why you think Bush is so great, he's an idiot, he hasn't proven himself. He's managed to wreck everything he's touched, like, this country! I don't need to hear your pro-bush 3rd-grader crap. Unless you're part of the top 5% rich population, you shouldn't be a Bush voter. How that IDIOT got more popular votes is beyond me. Well, okay, it's not. Everyone who voted Bush, or even considered it, was swindled. Don't give me that "oh, you shouldn't change presidents during war time" crap, either. Or the religion crap. It's sad, isn't it? He's swindled the religious masses into voting for him cuz he's using religion to do his talking for him. "God" knows, he needs somebody to talk for him. If "God" even existed, and saw what Bush is doing under his name, lightning would strike Bush and everyone who supported him. Bush is a total idiot, you cannot deny that. So tell me, Vlad guy. Do you like the idea of your vehicle/house being searched without permission, or even knowledge that it happened in the first place? I'm curious, do any non-US citizens who live here like the idea that they can be ARRESTED for sheer suspicion alone? If you're arab, and you look funny, boom, jail time! Patriot Act? Hmph. The least they can do is get rid of the word "patriot", because that's not very patriotic in any way. You're right, you do have a right to vote, which I'm sorry to say is a shame, because a vote for Bush is a vote that deserves to go unheard. What do you get when you take Hitler, strip away his hair color, his moustache, his cold demeanor and his brain? George W. Bush, ladies and gentlemen.

hi shedevil...I'm not American, I'm Canadian, and I find it idiotic that anyone voted for Bush again. Where were these people? He's lied numerous times, he's made the world more dangerous....not safer, and made the rich richer, the poor poorer, and other than that war waged strictly for oil, what has he done for American people in American life?
His grandfather was the secret banker for Adolf Hitler...check it out if you don't believe it.Every single member of his staff has made millions from this war due to their connections with corporations that build weapons of war.
Furthermore....it was the Repuplicans who funded and supplied Saddam Hussien's war against Iran that included genocide of Kurds. They sent bio weapons to them and supplied intelligence that informed Iraq of impending attacks from Iran.
They also supplied bin laddin as well and had three of his brothers working in America for a government owned agency. When 9/11 happened ...why was it they rounded up this man's brothers and flew them....the only plane allowed to fly over American soil that day...to saudi arabia instead of detaining them for interrogation?
Under the Republicans....America has payed for , and created their own enemies.
I'm shocked at how little Americans know about candidates and parties. That's precisely what they count on, and why Bush won. The world is going to suffer dearly for it.
Look, as a Canadian ...Kerry would have been worse off for us businesswise....but I'd rather that happened than have the chaos Bush will wreak this next 4 years on the entire world.
Don't just listen to lies and false promisses, look at who they are for crap sakes! Go into family and party histories to decide.

Hate to break it to ya'll but Kerry isn't god's gift to mankind either. I doubt seriously that there will be ANYONE running for president in my lifetime that I can be proud to say I voted for. It's the nature of politics in a government so swelled and full of itself that it can't possibly turn out a good leader.
People in this country have led themselves to believe that there is this monumental divide between us. Half liberals and half conservatives and it's that very notion that politicians use to get their votes. They put us at war with eachother so that we want to "kick the asses" of anyone on the opposing side. While our votes for leader may be neatly split in two our opinions are not that polarized. In opinion polls on various issues of importance the popular opinion seems split about 70% to 30% in most cases. We're no as different as we think.
Anyway...for what it's worth I'm stepping in and making a plea for non-cyber-violence and no "ass kicking".

I can only weep for the future of America. I have a son who will be two in December; what kind of world is he going to grow up in now? If he's gay, he won't be treated like a human being. If he marries a woman, they won't have any say in their reproductive choices. Either way, he'll be living in a world where judgmentalism is the norm, where you can't have an intellectual discussion without it turning to hate, where you daren't criticize the administration for fear of being labelled "unpatriotic". I feel like apologizing to my son for bringing him into a world, an America, like this.

bad times are ahead. i think the greatest threat will be the dissapearence of human and civil rights. and yes kerry would have ravaged the world just as much as bush too, but hes no fundamentalist

Better to vote the devil you know than the devil you don't.
did anyone vote for nader? lol

Why does every statement about some candidate turn into some huge political crusade of sensitive caring happies and considering everyones feelings (aka she said she thinks anyone who voted for him needs an ass kicking, reply? Kerry is no saint, other people like him, beauty of america voting for who you want, on and on and on and on). So she doesn't like Bush, neither do I. If someone wrote something bad about Kerry, big whoop. So they don't like him and I do. Life goes on. Why are you trying to impress your opinions on other people? You think your opinion is so great that it needs to be? Please. You defend these people like you know them and their personal lives, like you sit in conversations with them everyday. Why? You don't really know Bush or Kerry. And something tells me even if you did you would be so blind by party affiliation, that even if something negative came to light, you would give justification for it, and defend the old fool. This is quite a country we live in, and I don't mean that in a good way.

You have a point AR. If this were any other election the conversation would not be so heated. But let me make one thing perfectly clear.....

PEOPLE VOTED FOR A RETARD.

Trust me. If Kerry had won, the Pro-Bush people would be throwing a fit.

Bad times are ahead.

I thought the raving moronic liberal was a mythical creature, much like Medua and Thor. I am apparently shown otherwise.

Hi all ... well, I'm not american either but in some ways, my country (the Philippines) is directly affected by your war on iraq and bin laden. many members of these middle eastern terrorist groups train in the southern part of my country ... and guess where they "test" out their skills on "terror science 101."

anyway, i can't believe america once again (?) voted for bush. the guy's not the sharpest tool in the shed, and he's so damn greedy. This whole war thing is just a money-making racket for him and his cronies.

But you guys are right ... that's democracy.

the difference neosite is that now a sitting president who don't need toworry about reelection will push his agender it's not going to be pretty, he will change the balance of the supereme court, privatize social sercurity by the way your parents or grandpaents will be affected more than us. he will invade iran i quote the bill o'reily intreview so where do you get the army to fight three wars on terror the draft, also you will see approx. 2.5 trillion debt over 8 years of his presidentcy you will see more of the same no line item votes he hasn't veto anything or made a mistake trust me i never voted for kerry before but now you have a person who don't care about anyone elses opinion note he got rid of 2 cabinet members and dose'nt consult collin powell or condraice rice on any measure of national interest, he want free trade but he call germany and france not friends of our countrybut if that what is the right direction for our country that was based on princple of freedom tranquilaity, and compassion COMPASSION CONSERVERATIVE hahaha more fedral control over your basic freedom and right the 4th and 6th admenants gone plus a record defecite and growing I can't waituntil 2008 when the republicains say see no attacks on american soil since 9/11but let me clue you in 3 attacks have been prenatrted on our soil 1812,1941,2001
i bet that thjey will be right on that issue but according to satistics it would'nt happen anyway, plus i would be concern about this type of forum, anti religous and the new right wing will targets sites they think are not up to their standards, VIVA THE KING AND DICKHEAD maybe bush will still be at war like FDR and seek a 3rd term and we will have 4 more years and so on and so on good job america

to nathan jones i rather have a tax and spend liberal than a no tax and spend president you probally live with mom and dad and don't care about any one but yourself with bushes tax cut it cost me 467 dollars and i make now under 40,000 a year with 2kiids gas 2 dollars a gallon milk 3.50 a gallon 670 to fill my oil tankfor 2months service my property tax are up eggs 2 dollars a dozen health care up 17 dollars Bushes spending is ruining my kids future IWANT YOU TO DO SOMETHING FOR ME PLEASE PUT UP YOUR HAND EITHER ONE NOW HOLD THREE FINGERS UP THE INDEX THE MIDDLE AND THE RING LOOK AT IT NOTICE THE LINES BETWEEN THE FINGERS WELL PLEASE READ BETWEEN THE LINES AND YOU GET MY PIONT HOPEFULLY I DOUBTED YOU VOTED ANYWAY

she devil i quote an old saying give them hell harry your right on the button

granted i'm an anarchist, i do think that war corporatism is systemic to american capitalism and that the election of kerry would not have changed that - democrats and republicans being equally owned by corporate interests. i voted for nader (originally i was not going to vote), and i do think that real change will come not from the electoral process (it is those who count the votes that decide the winner) but from the organizing efforts of the people. but i do find it extremely disheartening that the man who signed the global gag rule, a death sentence to and uncountable number of womyn across the world, could have been granted a four-year extension to his reign of terror.

I feel terrible.....I feel like this is all my fault.."your vote counts" they said " speak up" they said... but I didnt...I was torn between family, friends, and others....I was pressured so what happend you ask? What the heck are you talking about? you ask...

I didnt vote. I never registered to.🙁 AT FIRST, I didnt really care...never cared too much about political stuff..now I'm regretting it more than I regret trying to meet bond after their concert. People have yelled and jumped down my throat for the past few weeks for not registering..and those people I know that were for Bush, now yell at me more for saying that Kerry "spiritually" had my vote. I feel pressured...I feel like Bush is in office cuz I didnt vote..I know that's stupid and its not my fault, but its how I feel. Next chance I get, I'm gonna register.....I swear on it.

Welcome to America, where tolerance is espoused as a virtue, but close-minded imperialism and Christianity are voted for. For those that say voting for Bush was their freedom of choice, you are right, but you didn't care about the freedom of choice among others (abortion, faith-based iniatitives). This man has claimed he is unwilling to be guided by other countries, but claims he wants America to be a leader in a global community he doesn't respect.
Maybe it's time New York and California followed Bush's lead and used their superior economies to force smaller states to act they way they want them to. For instance, Oklahoma could be said to have ties to "terrorist" Timothy McVeigh, and they could be invaded and forced to vote Democratic, because of the need for New York and Los Angeles to be leaders in America, and to protect the safety of low-income wage earners who's social programs are being cut daily. Oh, specific congratulations to Oklahoma and Kentucky. I feel quite strongly that having a guy who believes have viruses in the water is okay because they teach doctors who has weak immune systems, and a guy who is unable to be in the same room as the guy he's debating will best represent you in the future (good choice).

"Steely blue eyes with no love in them scan the world, and a humorous smile with no warmth in it, greets the world." (Morrissey)

*sigh*
Fine then...yes the entire world is going to fall apart now, etc etc. This is why this country is in such shambles. We're split right in two and nobody seems willing in the slightest to work together or even to make an attempt to LIVE together.
I see sanity has no place here so I'll just enter the obligatory mod reply. Don't fight, don't break rules, etc. whatever.

Okay, Ness, point well taken. The time for debate has ended. I woke up this morning to a country that I'm not sure I understand anymore, and as disheartened as I am by yesterday's results, I agree with you. This country cannot function properly if the polarization continues, and we do need to work together. My big concern, however, is that, after 9/11, the entire country, the Congress, everyone agreed to put partisanship aside and give the President everything he asked for. We worked together, and look at the results--Bush pushed through a radical agenda which seems to have taken hold. Every state with a gay marriage referendum on the ballot voted against it--EVERY ONE!! The Republicans now have a firmer control on both houses of Congress, and exit polls showed that morality was the voter's #1 issue in deciding who they voted for!! Not Iraq or the economy or healthcare or education or terrorism, but morality. I'm not sure what that means. I feel so out of touch with half of the country, and yet, I agree with you. I am willing to put aside my anger and bitterness and at least try to understand what is so important to these Bush supporters. And one positive note: Voter turnout was huge. It says to me that, even though Americans have a reputation for apathy, when the issues are huge and, in some minds, the fabric of our nation is at stake, people will do the right thing and take part in the democratic process. And that gives me some measure of hope.

Bush is a man of conviction, right or wrong you know where he stands. People who say the war in Iraq is about his dad are over simplistic and don't see the big picture.
Give him a chance, he will do the world good.

This post nearly made me barf. SheDevil was just expressing her disappointment at the result of the election - which she is allowed to do freely in a democracy, provided she voted - and she did not deserve to be condescended in this way. I didn't see any sarcasm at all in SheDevil's post. Your post, on the other hand, was full of it.

Rather than argue with this latest flowery, self-righteous post of yours, I truly would like to add you to my ignore list. Yet I am not allowed because you are a 'moderator', presumably so you can run your little artist forum. In my opinion, a person given the privilege of moderator should not actively try to talk down to/ taunt other users.
