Face Up or Down??

Last night I had a VERY intense tickling session with a good friend. We are not past lovers or anything. She is a bit older than me, and loves tickling me. Its completely non sexual and very fun.
Anyway, I am usually tied down face up. And she has become a vicious tickler over the months. but yesterday she flipped me over and tied my up face down (spread eagle). I would have to say that this was FAR more intense than I could have imagined. Your body is far less "bendable" and able to fight and squirm. I actually screamed out my safe word at one point.

So I ask the community....which is it for you....face up or face down?

im never sure which I prefer, face up is more beneficial in a sexual context, well.. for guys anyway, I suppose it doesnt matter so much for girls. I do like it face up but for spread eagle I find its a little too easy to thrash, even if tied really tight.

Face down tho, yeh, for some reason it tickles more and I tend to put it down to two major factors.

1: self awareness, its a little more mentally comfortable to be able to hide your face in the pillows etc in my opinion

2: muscle groups, being tied face down spread eagle as opposed to face up limits your movement more, you cant use your arms to thrust your body about as much and your knees cant bend as much either.

Summary time, I like both and with someone im totally 100% comfortable with it doesnt really matter which I do so i'll normally go face up, however in past times with random 1 to 1s with people im less comfortable with face down has been almost vital so that I could enjoy myself, I guess its worth mentioning if its not a sexual partner then I would feel very self concious about the tickler seeing just how much fun I was having.... so thats where the major self awareness point settles in .

I like both, but I do tend to be more ticklish face down. It's like everyone has said I can't see anything and I can't move much.

When I'm tickling someone for a long time, I usually have them turn over at some point, because that makes them way more ticklish. I like having the same done to me =]

I find when I am tickled face down, I am faaarrr more ticklish on my sides and under my arms. But my feet are just as ticklish. So being face down just means I can't squirm my feet or legs as much, because when I'm face up I can just lift my legs up and do whatever, but it seems to be easier to pin my legs down when I'm face down.

I've noticed some girls seem to flip out during face-down a bit more. Then again, there are some spots you just can't get to unless she's face-up.

Lol first and foremost this reminds me of an old house track..."FACE DOWN A$Z up! Thats the way we like to...!"

Hmm Its hard for me to choose and depends on the type of tickle "attack". If I'm not tied, I really love being pinned down either way but with face down, its a bit more exciting as I'm not able to see whats coming next but I also can not have eye contact with the LER. Theres just something about me enjoying the LER's eye contact and their smile in face up. Theres pros and cons to both positions.

I'm agreeing with everyone....its definately a mix. but will say...during face down time, i actually had a moment (or three) of complete panic and SCREAMED out my safeword. I really hit my limit and need this person to stop. It was quite the rush but had she not given mercy on the safeword, she'd be buying new bed sheets today....LOL

Exactly. I feel most vulnerable face up, but the most wildly ticklish I've ever been was face down. On the whole I think I enjoy face up more, since I can see what's going on and experience the interplay with the lee better. I imagine that facing down makes the tickling more of a surprise so less able to anticipate, along with the inflexibility you mentioned.

Face down wrecks me, but face up is much better if your adding in erm....*ahem* adult activities as well. Which is why when I beg my guy to turn me over, he usually doesn't listen because it's only for my own selfish reasons, hehe.
