A couple of years ago I was googling 'foot tickling' to see if I could find something of interest. I came across the webpage of a radio station in Florida and one of the headlines on the page was about some fan who had won a contest and the reward was a dinner date with an attractive female DJ who worked for the station. The fan asked if he could swap the dinner date for a foot tickling session with her. This caused lots of foot/tickle fetishists to email the station with input. Foot fetishism and tickle fetishism were new to the DJ and this seemed to freak her out a little. One email touched on the fact that foot tickling is erotic to some people and this really freaked her out. She had been considering letting the fan tickle her feet (good attention getting gimmick for the station), but she backed out of the whole deal after that. I had some fun emailing her myself. I was trying to 'normalize' the situation by telling her how many people are into foot and tickle fetishism and that it wasn't that weird...she just had not been exposed. I told her about Howard Stern's tickle chair and suggested that she check it out. But, she couldn't handle the whole thing and backed out. I would have loved it if she had let the fan tickle her feet and then read about the follow-up on the website. Someone may have even filmed the tickle session for publicity, but now we will never know.

I think that she probably would have backed out whether she was cool with the fetish or not. Just because you're sexually liberal doesn't mean you have to be comfortable with letting a stranger use your body to get off.

Yes...once she knew it was a fetish rather than just for fun, she probably saw it as similar to asking "rather than a dinner date, can I kiss and grope you?". It's understandable (if unfortunate) that she pulled out.

Totally agree! That fan went way overboard with his request!

I have to disagree with you there. As I read it, it wasn't so much that fan who went overboard as it was all the e-mailers who couldn't restrain themselves. It seems the DJ was considering his request until that nonsense started.

Yeah, that kinda sounds like what it was to me. Granted, I probably wouldn't have made the request in the first place, but... foot people are not exactly known for their sense of decorum and restraint.

Have to disagree...That fan was totally out of line. Other posters nailed it when they said he tried to turn it from something fairly innocuous to something he was going to get off on. It's not just the activity, it's the intent behind it. Tickling a close friend can be innocent and playful but if you do it because you're secretly getting off on it then it crosses the line into creepy and violates the trust in the friendship. This fan crossed the line. Even if there was no friendship, he tried to take something relatively innocent and turn it into something that was going to be sexual for him. That's pretty skeevy.

Not sure what transpired here, but after re-reading the OP it doesn't say one word about the contest winner turning it into anything sexual.

The fault does seem to fall on the others that emailed, based on Mustang's OP.

Exactly what I think! Thanks a bunch! 🙂

Just because he was hiding WHY he wanted to tickle her feet doesn't mean he wasn't going overboard, sorry! 🙂

There's nothing overboard about it. Whether tickling is sexual or not - it's just tickling. It's up to him whether or not he makes things creepy and awkward, but if he can easily maintain his composure and just be playful with it, then it's not different than a vanilla tickling someone's feet. Whether or not they're "hiding" it is a matter of opinion. He didn't say anything either way according to the OP - it was the fan emails that killed it for him because they made it out to be far worse than it was and scared her away from it. She may have even liked it in the end, but who knows?

Stop thinking like everything in life is black and white. If the guy just wanted to have some fun and wasn't gonna get all pervy about it and take advantage of her, then who are you to say he was wrong for doing it? If the opposite was the case, then I would agree with you. Unfortunately it is impossible to know his true intentions.

In the end, nothing happened, so it doesn't really matter.

Besides, I doubt she would go alone just in case something did go wrong. But anyway, we all have opinions, even if some are less open-minded than others. Thinking the worst of everyone is commonplace nowadays for a reason, I suppose.

What you did was "The Furry Defense", and was quite possibly the last thing you should have done.

Obviously, the DJ didn't think so, now did she? 🙂

So, here's the question: if the guy wasn't into tickling or feet, or both, why would he have asked to do it? There are plenty of other things he could have asked for. Like going to the swimming pool instead of having dinner, where he would have been able to see her in a bikini! That's what a fetish-free guy would have asked for. The only reason why he would have asked for that particular thing is: he gets off on it! She wasn't aware of that because she wasn't aware of the tickling fetish, but it's pretty much obvious for people who are a little familiar with the fetish family.

Rhiannon, re-read my post. I never said anything about him not getting off on it. I said not to judge a book by its cover. Just because he wants to tickle her feet doesn't mean he's gonna be a complete idiot or perv about it. At which point the tickling is exactly that: tickling.

I'm saying that whether or not you're morally against someone getting off to tickling without explaining their intentions first, you need to realize that not all people are completely perverted and unable to control their sexual desires in person. And people could be getting off to any number of things girls do at any given time, so its not solely a tickling-related matter.

That being said, there's a chance it could go in a bad direction depending on the personality of the winner.

But you shouldn't judge him for asking. It almost worked if it wasn't for the interference of the idiots emailing in. She was cool with it until people started to send sexual emails and yada yada about her feet and tickling. If anything, the guy had balls of steel to even ask such a thing - and there's nothing wrong with asking.

If anything, I believe the sexual emails from people are what the issue was for her mainly. She probably figured if all these people seem so creepy to her, then we must all be the same.

(Sorry, couldn't quote on phone, and may have messed up a few parts. It took a while to do lol)

Winner: "Can I tickle your feet instead of going out on the date with you?" (after all I have zero charm, so there chances of my hooking up with this woman and probably getting to tickle her feet for a little on or after the date is pretty much null)

Talk Show Host: "lol, hmmm thats sounds funny and might be fun and is a good gimmick for the show, I might just try it"

Listener 1: "That sounds hot, I think you should do it"

Listener 2: "yes do it! I want to suck your toes and tickle your soles with my tonque till you cry and pee yourself"
...
Listener: "Oh there is so many people into tickling as a sexual turn on, its completely normal and can be fun. Its not weird there is an entire online forum with tens of thousands of members so many people like it. You should definitely let this fan tickle your feet instead..."

Talk Show Host: "Ohh well in that case I will definitely let this stranger tickle my feet instead of going out to dinner with me (after all, if we were out on dinner and he had the least bit of charm we probably would have hooked up and he could have tickled my feet) but I'll definitely let him tickle me instead of the date now for sure!

Listener: "cool, glad I can help!"

:bwahaha: You nailed it. If you don't see anything wrong with this behaviour, you really need to spend more time talking to humans. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be even marginally associated with some people around here.

Was this radio DJ in the Tampa Bay area?
What was the name of the show (or the female DJ's name)?

Bingo. So many people around here like to hide behind the defense of "It's just tickling"... but that doesn't make their boners any less raging.

That said, I also agree that if the guy wasn't all creepy about it, then whether he "got off" on it or not was probably irrelevant. It's not like he was going to whip his dick out in the middle of the session. Or, as Speedbump says...

One of my current play partners is almost half my age (but still legal). She just recently introduced me to a friend of hers after having known me for over a year. How did she describe me? "Very respectful". Sounds kind of odd coming from someone who met someone else because he wanted to satisfy a fetish, but there you go.

Totally agree, Dude!

IMHO, by asking for it he already has proven that he is unable to control his sexual desire. If he managed to get to her feet during the date by being charming and witty - fine with me! But flat out asking - creepy!

So much creepier goes on on a daily basis, you have no idea. The guy took a chance and asked and it was rejected. Both the DJ and winner likely moved on and that was that. But here we are discussing some moral quandary that means more to us than likely even the DJ who was asked.

Creepy is an opinion and nothing more. What's creepy to some isn't creepy to others. I understand that you personally were creeped out by it - and that's fine - but that doesn't define the situation for everyone. Yes, she may have gotten creeped out, but it wasn't because of the guy who asked originally. It was the much creepier emails that followed. People got too in-depth about the fetish and went overboard.

Nothing good comes without some degree of risk. This guy took a chance and it didn't pan out. Oh well. Life goes on.

Which is exactly why I wrote, and may I quote myself:

That's all you have? You took the part of my post that meant the least and replied to it?

Start reading my full post before replying. I said I understand its your opinion and I'm fine with it closer to the bottom.

That's all you have? You took the part of my post that meant the least and replied to it?

What would you like me to reply to? You already know that I am strongly against people using unsuspecting others to get their rocks off, and I know you feel it's okay, so what is there to discuss? I think we already agreed to disagree to this one.

Well, actually, in this case, it shows you have no argument any longer, and by replying to a minor detail I had already addressed in my post, it shows you were grasping at straws to try to form one. So, end of thread.

What a waste of time it was.

If all I care about is getting my hands on a woman's feet, is it less creepy to reach my objective by being "charming and witty", or by being upfront and honest and asking for it. You said you're against people "using unsuspecting others" to get their rocks off. Well if all I care about is getting my hands on a woman's feet, but I'm "charming and witty" to accomplish this, she still doesn't know that all I ever cared about was touching her feet. Sounds unsuspecting to me.
