Favorite childhood toys

With Christmas soon to be upon us i was thinking today about some of my favorite toys.Remember RockEmSockEm Robots?My younger brother and i wore out at least two of those.Then there were the board games,RISK,Battleship and of course Monolopy among others.

One Christmas i got an electric race car set but the darn cars would fly off the track on the curves if you went to fast.I also had a large collection of WW II combat vehicles and infantry support,made by Revell Model Company.I could have taken over a small country. 😉 Then one year we got Pong,the first video game as far as i know.

What did you look forward to seeing under the tree on Christmas morning?This is not limited to Christmas,i just listed some things i remember.Could also be something you got for a birthday or Bar Mitzvah or any occasion.

I remember my cousin and I chasing a little car with a red haired monkey in it. It was like a tiny rubber car with plastic wheels and I always clobbered people in the head with it. Ah, so there were better days.

my Transformers were my favorite toy, but i often played with my LEGOs more than anything. even had some of the older ones from the early 80's, thanks to one of my uncles.

My big Lion Voltron was my favorite. Also, my matchbox and hotwheels cars.

my barbie doll, ken and midge...and i had the biggest wardrobe for them...my grandmother made more clothes...they were beautiful...damn and we lost all that in a move..

my baby patta burp....and i still have her, and she still burps...lol...

a multitude of board games...and colorforms..

and sillly putty...which i had the bad habit of leaving lying around...and one time my grandmother sat on it...and i was afraid to tell her...and when she got up to go into the kitchen...part went with her and part stayed on the couch...it could stretch for miles...😀

Transformers and He-Man. My mates used to get the good figures (Optimus Prime, He-Man himself, etc) and I'd get the shit unpopular ones (like Sideswipe and Man-At-Arms 🙁 ), and we'd pool our figures and play Transformers or He-Man or He-TransManformers with them until one day we all got bored and tied them to some Black Cat rockets.

Matchbox-the pre-superfast versions Those types had hard type of tires that you could take off

Girder and Panels building sets You built buildings with them The one I had was a skyscraper

The old Tonka trucks The all metal ones I had a fire truck It was the snorkel version You could hook a garden hose to the fire hydrant that came with it Then hook the little hoe from the hydrant to the truck On the snorkel it had a little hose that would squirt water

Like lots of others, I had countless hours of fun with my LEGO'S.

I also had a lot of fun with my He-Man and Thundercats action figures. Would sit in my room and recreate battles between the two.

My brother and I had great fun with our combined myriad of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles paraphenellia.

I was also an avid Ghostbusters fan at the time (what 80's kid wasn't?) and had a few toys from that like the Proton Pack and Ghost Trap.

My favourite childhood toys were my barbies, I had so many of them most of my bedroom floor was covered with barbie dolls, barbie clothes and etc lol, I also had big dolls like baby, todder looking dolls, I liked making things out of lego or playdo, I have gotten rid of my barbie dolls,big dolls and other toys away to my little cousins now, but anyway the toys I use to have were cool.
