Of course, Shawn Michaels thought pretty much the same about Bret after that Survivior Series when Bret refused to put him over. Different circumstances of course.
True, Bret wouldn't put over Shawn, but that had alot to do with the fact that Shawn had told Bret he wouldn't have done it for him. In fact Dave Melzer had a huge write up about it in the Observer (take it for what it's worth). The story was dated back to when Bret sighned back with the WWF, and followed it all the way to the evening of the Montreal Screw Job. He never flat out said Vince was wrong, but it didn't read like he felt Vince was 100% right eather. Bret was our guy, and I'll always back his spot on it. Vince sighned a contract and he refused to honour it in the end. Vince Sr. would have rolled in his grave if he could have seen what his son did to a loyal, hard working employee.
