Favourite star trek moments

I am pumped! I just found out that Avery Brooks (Captain Sisko) is going to be at the Motor City Comic Con next month! I am going to meet him, that's so awesome! Now, if only I can prevent myself from totally geeking out and having him call security...

Let This Be your Last Battlefield. With the great Frank Gorshin. Here's the famous Enterprise test for control of the ship.

And there's also

Any time an atractive scantily clad lass turns up on it

Heh.... Ensign Ricky

One of the alltime greats, the fight between Kirk and Kruge on Genesis which founf it's way into the South Park movie.

I... (kick's head) have had... (kicks head) enough of YOU! (final kick, falling to doom)

One of my favorites was from the Worf-Jadzia wedding episode of DS9, when they recited the Klingon creation story.

"For the first time, the gods knew fear. They tried to flee, but it was too late..."

Star Trek: TOS---"Amok Time" (2 parts- )

1) Spock: "CAPTAIN-----JIM!!!!!-----I am.........pleased........to see you, Captain.

2) Bones: "Of course, Mr. Spock, your reaction was QUITE logical."
Spock: "Thank you, Doctor."
Bones: "....................................In a PIG'S EYE!!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
BTW--I hate colorized movies. I hate commercials that cause an episode to be edited. But I LOVE the new images the miracle-workers (right, Scotty?) at ILM have done to punch up the effects shots of the old show! How do you purists feel about this? Paramount had no reason to spend the money to do this, but it looks GREAT!!

My favorite moment is from the TOS episode "The Doomsday Machine." It's the final exchange between Commodore Decker and Captain Kirk right before Decker goes on a kamikaze run with a shuttle against the planet killer.

Mr. Spock: [Decker has taken a shuttlecraft] Commodore, I must insist that you return to the ship.
Matt Decker: You said it yourself, Spock - There is no way to blast through the hull of that machine, so I'm gonna take this thing right down its throat.
Capt. Kirk: This is Kirk. Matt, you'll be killed!
Matt Decker: I've been prepared for death ever since I - ever since I killed my crew.
Capt. Kirk: No one expects you to die for an error in judgment!
Matt Decker: [final words] A commander is responsible for the lives of his crew, and for their deaths. Well... I should have died with mine.

I have many but a couple are...

the scene in the episode Space Seed where Khan has a scalpel held up at McCoy's throat. That scene established Bones as my favorite Original series character.'

The Next Generation episode with Data's daughter. The end of that episode actually made teary eyed.

The entire DS9 episode Trials and Tribble-ations

The Sulu sword fight, the meeting of the Spocks and the ending in the new movie

...and of course

Last weekend I had the opportunity to meet Leonard Nimoy and Brent Spiner at the Calgary Expo, a smaller version of comic-con. I got Nimoy's autograph, but not Spiner's.

The Entire Original Series, because it started the entire thing, but most of all...

Star Trek: TNG
Picard surrendering 21 minuets into the pilot episode... setting the pace for what a pussy he'd be throughout the series, The Enterprise C, anything with Q, and all the appearances by the original series alumni.

Star Trek: DS9
Trials and Triblations, the 3 Klingons from the original series, The Dominion War, The Mirror Universe, and Sisco punching Q.

Star Trek: Voyager
Lost is Space theme, The Year in Hell, finding the lost Ferengi from DS9, Q, Q's son, Janeway as Ripley, 7 of 9.

Star Trek Enterprise
Season 3, Mirror Universe, When Niles and Trip were stuck in the shuttle together, the decedents from the Alternate Future.

Star Trek: Voyager
Lost is Space theme, The Year in Hell, finding the lost Ferengi from DS9, Q, Q's son, Janeway as Ripley, 7 of 9.

You're incorrect; the Ferengi got lost in an episode of TNG, not DS9. And Voyager sucked; all of it sucked.

Best of Both Worlds was awesome, even though Part One ended on a cliffhanger note that had no payoff...

As for Star Trek Enterprise, the best part about that was not watching it and realizing that no one else was either.

Sacrifice of Angels, from DS9.

I don't really think Star Trek has aged well when it comes to modern-day relevance, but the episodes from this arc still strike a chord today.
