what is it that makes the feather so tickly. i wuz tied up and my toes were tied back and my friend and her cousins tickled me with feathers 4 a hour and a half straight and i didnt know i wuz dat ticklish

Yeah we're all wired differently. Feathers are a very mild irritation for me. Fingers work the best.

I've found that the only good use feathers are to me is when I use them in between the toes. Wifey cannot stand having a feather sawn between the toes. I found out a couple months ago that she hates it more between the pinky toe and the second toe than between her two bigger toes. Funny how you find these things out even years after we started tickling...always something new.

I agree each person has their own sensitivity or tickle map so to speak. IMHO, feathers are good for warm up tickling, but fingers, pens, brushes etc close the deal. The lighter touch between the toes will work, but a Sonicare placed there will send the person into orbit, but hopefully not obit. Look at the Renfaire clips where a given person is tickled with feathers, fingers and then brushes. The feathers usually get the least reaction.

It just depends how ticklish you are. I don't react to feathers on my feet but in my arm pits... that's a different story. It's a matter of whether you're "feather sensitive."

I have to use the stick end of the feather to get a reaction at all and that is on some very ticklish girles.

I have never been tickled with feathers... don't see how they can be sooo ticklish unless tickled on the neck or nipples...always wanted to try though!!!

Iris, you don't know what you're missing. A good stiff feather on the soles can be ticklishly deadly, or anywhere else for that matter.
