Did I like putting in the bad ending? Tough question. Yes and no.
Yes because it was something that the game did lack, a consequence for getting caught that wasn't too long and fitted with the theme of the game nicely. It also wasn't too hard to put in so I knew I could fill that request for people quite easily.
No because I kinda didn't have the same drive to make it like I did the other scenes. It probably tells in the scene itself. Don't get me wrong, the idea for a bad ending was good, it just didn't occur me when making the game. One of the problems of making a game solo I suppose, lack of creative input from others.
Hope that answered your question.
It kinda makes sense in a way to have that bad end, I know you said that you feel like you need to progress through the game to get the scenes which seems like a reward. I feel like when you reach the end you pretty much made it and that's like a cherry on top to see the 2 protagonist face their doom. Even if you say you weren't feeling it it still was a good scene. I like to, that you listened to your audience and decided to add it in even though you never intended. One thing that kinda made me feel bad is you could Spoiler --> Never rescue the girl that got captured in the beginning of the game, you see her in a cell and she looks so sad but you can't do anything
