What IS that in the first 2 pics?

Soft, oscillating brushes. We couldn't figure out its original purpose, but as a tickle tool it was super effective!

In the 2nd picture(Whitney?) what is that thing clamped on her nose? That looks painful.

Nose hooks. Didn't tighten them to the point of discomfort.
