Frugality can sometimes lead to stupid decisions. That was one example, buying imitation cheese is another. That stuff is yucky! Dewey's Pizza definitely uses the real deal.

Awww... I am in the 'Nati, but I work next weekend and have plans following work. Next time for sure 🙂 Soooo many choices in Newport and Covington OMG.
 
OMG I just figured that out...ok, put me down then 🙂 And I should be on time... unlike my Louisville trip.
 
I might show, but like I said, I work with no set quit time. If I am able to show, my appearance will most likely be brief, too. 🙁

I like your persistence. Its the best quality you can have when you're throwing a munch. It sometimes takes a little bit to get people to come out whether its because they are nervous or have conflicts or lack of funds. But they are well worth it even if only 1 or 2 people show up. And I'm sure you can get more over time, hopefully a regular crowd. Being a pretty young girl certainly won't work against you.

I'd post wherever you can to get the word out. Both discussion forums and the gathering section as well. Go into the personals section and find people posting in your area. Send pm's. This has actually worked for me in the past. Probably won't work with the same frequency since I'm in NYC and you are in Kentucky, but its worthwhile.

Be persistent and patient. And have a great time at your munch. Word of mouth will spread.

There's a Dewey's in Newport?? I must have missed that one totally! Let me do some checking, but I may be able to make it.
 
Kentucky? I gotta learn how to teleport already. Missing out on so many great events. I'd love to go but there's just a little distance problem. I hate distance. Hope this works out for you!
 
It looks like it's still gonna be hit or miss, for me. I've got my schedule for next week, and an easy run on Saturday, but my driver is new. It could be a really good day, or a really bad day. I don't know how long you all plan on staying there, but if I show, I'm gonna say that I probably won't be there earlier than 3, and I think I'll be stuck in my work uniform. >_<
