Finally Got My V.a. 100%!!!

Some of you may or may not know that Ive been in this futile lock-horns-to-the-death struggle with the department of veterans affairs... Well, I got a letter from them just the other day that they are going to finally give me my 100% service connection. Im sure the fact that I just recently hired a very efficient law firm that handles only veterans claims really had nothing to do with it... 😵

But anyhoo just wanted to shout out to someone somewhere that may/may not care.. My struggle with them is over with. If anyone wants the firm I used, let me know in I.M. and I will provide this info.

Wow...that is like...a miracle, lol.

My husband (and my father) have gone round and round with the VA before and it is infuriating.

so glad you got it resolved. That calls for a celebration of some kind!

Hey, that's fantastic~good for you! My hospital is the only Level I trauma center in the area so we get a lot of angry Vets admitted on emergent basis. Typically, VA won't cover anything unless it's service connected or unless patient is a direct transfer from the VA. The the hospital and the patient gets stuck trying to deal with Mil Bill and the rest of that, it (and the whole VA system, apparently) is a HUGE mess.

It's a lot like fighting for your SS benefits and even though I work for attorneys, I always recommend against hiring one in these cases~You worked hard for those benefits and you deserve to keep ALL of them. Besides, they can't do anything for you you can't do for yourself (it's ALL based strictly on what's in your med recs.)

that's good news, Mustang! i have a buddy of mine that developed PTSD during a tour in Afghanistan and had to fight tooth and nail to get some help after his medical discharge went through.

if you wouldn't mind, can you P.M. me the law office you went through? i have a bunch of friends and school chums still serving and i could use the info to pass along to them if they need it.
