I just got off the phone with my mom. They have confirmed that she has cancer again...in the stomach and liver. Please keep her in your prayers.

Thanks gang! It's much appreciated. I'm going up to see her this weekend. We won't know the course of action they plan on until she sees the oncologist next Friday. Her first two bouts with cancer were in the breast and easily contained since they were self encapsulated. This time is going to be much more difficult. 🙁

Having had family and friends with cancer, I know how difficult the whole thing is not only on the person and immediate family, but their friends as well. I just saw this thread. I am thinking about you and your family in this difficult time. As I go to temple for the Jewish New Year I will say a pray for her and the whole family!

Thanks again, everyone! We went up to see her this weekend. She's hanging in there and (though scared) is trying to keep a positive attitude. She'll see her oncologist on Friday and then get a second opinion on whatever he recommends. They have a major cancer center at the hospital up there. So, she'll be in good hands. We'll see where things go AFA the course of action they suggest and what she decides to go with.
