FROST holiday dinner! or 'The Conquest of Birdzilla"

This past weekend, FROST celebrated its first ever Holiday Dinner and it was a huge success! The idea was first pitched thinking we'd get about 10 people out and have a small family affair. Instead, we had 22 attendees and more fun and excitement than any FROST event to date!

A personal highlight was walking around the grocery store clutching a 32lb turkey. Actually said during that grocery trip:

Bystander: "Damn, that's a big bird!"
Snail: "You should have seen what we did with Snuffleupagus!"

Fun had included nearly burning down TropicThunder's apartment, galavanting around the city for last-minute items, tying various people to various forms of furniture (including the ceiling), screams of laughter heard all the way outside the hall and into the street, the conquest of Birdzilla (the 32lb bad boy that served as the main course) and fun with friends that lasted from 6am to 1am the next morning. Nobody parties like FROST.

Skulls - Your help was invaluable this weekend man. The whole thing would have been much slower and much more difficult if it wasn't for you. We owe you huge and I'm glad we could make this weekend great for you.

Malt87 and R - Thanks for coming out. I hope you had a great time and we can't wait to see you again!

Sirius Black and Theonix - Thanks for all the great times we've had together. Sirius, your wisdom while holding the turkey table was helpful (kinda 😉 ) and is always welcome. Theonix, I think next time we'll keep the temperature down (lol), but you're always fun to hang out with.

Ticklish 9's and Micromite - It was so great to see you both again. I'm glad everything's going well and I can't wait for June! Thanks for the second gingerbread house. Here's to zero-gravity PLUR!

Mushy - You're always so much fun. The holiday decorations and everything really made everything look great. I'm glad we got to catch up and we hope to see you out at more events.

Tickle Emperor - You're everything I could want in a friend and I'm grateful to know you. Thanks for everything you've done for FROST and I look forward to many more years.

Dasein - I'm sorry we didn't get to chat more. You're one of the most interesting people I've ever met; a true scholar and gentleman. Thanks for coming out!

Michigalaxy - It's always good to see your smile man. It was great seeing you again!

Keyser - I'm glad you came back man. We thought we'd lost you! lol I'm so happy you had a great time and we hope to see you out more often.

Evibard, Susue and M - Your help over the last 18 months has been what's set this group on fire and I can't thank you enough. We'll make sure to take you up on your offer of kitchen help at future events.

Hipnosis07 - You've been a cornerstone at FROST for years and I can't thank you enough. It sucks you're not working in T.O. any more, but I'm glad you're happy. All the best man.

c7_assassin - You have no idea the relief I felt seeing that you did not, in fact, bring and armpit to the potluck. lol You're a terrific guy and I'm hoping you'll make the trip down to NEST with us this year. It will make the trip more manly.

Sydney Mermaid - HUGS EVERYWHERE! YAY! You were the heart and soul of this party hun. I'm thrilled you'll be in Toronto for a spell and I look forward to many more parties together.

Tklishfeet - Stocks! We had stocks and you got to enjoy them! It stinks that you weren't able to stay longer, but I'm glad you made use to the time you had. See you at the next one!

mark_johnson_15 - You made it! After all the hassle trying to get in touch while the TMF was down, you made it! I'm glad you enjoyed your first event and here's to many more to come!

Craiger - Thank you for everything this weekend. The venue was amazing and your experience was very helpful. I can't wait for the next one. I wish you all the best with everything and if you ever need any help, you need only ask. You're the best.

TropicThunder - My Maggie. If you hadn't said the word, none of this would have happened. This party was your party. This night was your night and everyone had an amazing time. And it's all because of you. I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me this past year and I'm hoping for many more. I love you.

Thanks to all those who came out, the party was a raging success, and the whole weekend turned out to be quite an adventure. It was great to meet lots of new people and see good friends. I'm finding it difficult to make invidual shoutouts, mostly because Snail says the words better than I can.

I hope we can all do this again next year. You're all so worth it.

Yeah, that was an awesome night with amazing company! And food, mmmm food.

Even better knowing I'm going to stick around in Toronto for awhile.

Yeah, I thought I may have to go back to Aus too soon. But since I don't, I gots lots of hugs, play and time with old friends and new friends 😀

And the morning after was quite fun indeed. I will never look at Finding Nemo the same way again....or Optimus Prime for that matter.
